Our Sasha: Gerasimenia, whom you did not know. Alexandra Gerasimenya: Never give up Never stop, never give up. Complexity builds character, makes you better

News of Belarus. The swimmer commented on the Belarusian athletes during the talk show.

There are no complaints against you regarding the Olympics - you brought a medal. But you, too, are part of the team, and for sure, you also partly take this assessment personally. Fair assessment? Failure? Disgusting results?

Alexandra Gerasimenya, Olympic medalist (Rio de Janeiro, 2016):
In fact, of course, I bring medals to the second Olympiad, and the second Olympiad is considered unsatisfactory. Of course, for me personally, this is a shame, because I consider my performance to be quite successful. Maybe not 100% as I wanted, of course. But I fulfilled my minimum program. Yes, of course, perhaps the guys could not reach a higher level in order to perform at the Olympics more successfully and, at least, break through to the semifinals and finals. But, considering that it was such a massive decrease in results, I think it was not so much their mistake. Because, nevertheless, if there is a drop in the result, it is a team result - and they were preparing in the same places, at the same training camp - then, I think, there is already a question for the leadership, why did this happen.

Alexandra Gerasimenya: Never give up

Alexandra Gerasimenia is one of the best Belarusian athletes. The swimmer plans to conquer the 2012 Olympics in London. Nevertheless, at the age of 24, Sasha understands that an athlete's career is short-lived. She told the site what kind of education she wants to get, how she sees her husband and her home.

We are sitting in her new apartment - where for now there are only walls, a bed and a refrigerator. From the unfinished glass units by the builders, the cold February air reaches us without any apparent effort. “Of course, it’s a mess, but on the other hand it’s always fresh,” Aleksandra smiles, not losing her sense of humor in any situation. She accepts all changes in her life exclusively in a positive way. And like every exemplary hostess, she already knows what curtains she will hang in her room, and what color the sofa will be in the hall.

However, her today's apartment is just a training session - before the construction of a house in which she would like to live her whole life surrounded by a loving husband and children. And Sasha will definitely have a house, perhaps as a reward for winning the 2012 Olympics in London, for which she is already preparing with tension today.

To be in time for everything in 10 - 15 years

- It seems that the fate of Alexandra Gerasimeni was a foregone conclusion, because her father at one time was a member of the USSR national athletics team ...

Dad really taught me to physical education. From the age of four, I did exercises every day and ran crosses with him. For which, by the way, I am still grateful to him. And I got into the voyage thanks to a friend - I went to sign up with him for the company in the section, and so I stayed there. In general, in childhood, I was friends mainly with boys, because girls at this age are somehow envious and like to do all sorts of nasty things. For some reason they didn't understand that climbing trees and playing football was really cool.

- In my opinion, this is a good motor alternative to dolls and a sandbox ...

I would recommend everyone to go in for sports from childhood - in particular, swimming. A young man and especially a girl needs good posture and a beautiful build. Sometimes you see young ladies who have just ugly beefy forms, and you just wonder how people don't like themselves. Or the other extreme - complete atrophy of muscles, covered by the fact that, they say, the main thing in a person is the brain. I stick to Chekhov - everything should be fine in a person :)

- Great sport does not add health to a person.

Any occupation of a person in which he wants to achieve super-results, applying super-efforts to this, will not benefit the body in any way. A journalist who gets materials for his work during the day and then spoils his eyesight at the computer at night is probably not the healthiest person either. It's just that athletes are always in sight and, moreover, they live a shorter life - we need to do everything in 10-15 years of our sports career. So we are in a hurry ...

Go to workout - with positive thoughts

- What is the most difficult thing in your job?

The work itself. It is monotonous and heavy. The first training session starts at 8 am. Cold nasty pool water. The second workout, which also needs to be plowed - but after a busy day spent in study, business and chores.

- Happiness is not enough. Especially considering the fact that the water is also chlorinated ...

Yes, we have become accustomed for so many years ... But on the other hand, can you imagine how pleasant it is to plunge into the pool on a hot summer day? So everything is balanced. In fact, the water creates a mood - if it is good, then you will swim fast. The bad thing is that you will suffer so much that you would not wish on the enemy either ... Therefore, I try to come to training with positive thoughts.

“In the final, I won a new world achievement, but it was too late - the rivals swam even faster. A lot rested on swimsuits, of which some had a lot, others - one at a time. Therefore, I had to take care, take risks in the intermediate stages and go out in the old outfit. The point is that polyurethane suits are suitable for no more than three starts. ”

- Unfortunately, Belarus is not the strongest swimming power in Europe - is there a temptation to move to a place where the ceiling of your capabilities will initially be much higher?

First, I feel that until I hit my ceiling, my results continue to improve. Secondly, you can go to study in the USA or Australia and swim there in a large herd under the guidance of university coaches, but this is not my way. I love to work individually and intelligently, under the guidance of good coaches. Believe me, when I feel that the results are stagnant, then perhaps I will have the will to change everything and go to train in another country to a foreign specialist.

Do not offer your hand and heart to firefighters

- Isn't it to France? They say that the guys there are very fond of marrying our leading swimmers, and they then change their Belarusian citizenship. By the way, the press wrote about your novel. It seems with some French fireman ...

There was a case. Only this material was dated April 1 and amused the sports community. The journalist drew a parallel with the brides who left, and this was enough to stir up the entire Ministry of Sports. I just laughed when I read this article. I was a little offended by the author only because of one point. I wanted some blue-blooded crown prince to be my potential fiancé :). And then a fireman is a small bird, we have a dime a dozen of our own here ...

- Is the lack of a sense of humor a weak side of domestic officials?

This is the weak point of any man. Anyway, for me. There is nothing more boring than a young man who evaluates everything with a serious look and does not know how to joke, first of all at himself.

After all, if you look at it like that, then life is a game, the rules of which are established by a coach unknown to us. Only he decides when to let you out on the field, when to replace ... Is it possible to treat the fact of your existence on earth without irony?

And yet I categorically do not accept in men such a quality as rudeness. As a rule, they hide their complexes behind rudeness and swagger. I have them, too, but it never occurs to me to test another person's nervous system. Fight them inside yourself, get rid of them, but for others you must be a wide and welcoming person. In any case, I flatter myself with the hope that this is exactly what I am for those around me.

- Alexandra Gerasimenya today is a tidbit for all kinds of gigolos, who at all times have a subtle sense of the possibilities of successful beautiful athletes ...

Well, I will somehow be able to figure it out in this matter. Although ... In life, you never have to renounce anything. In general, I do not really understand what patterns human destinies are based on and why everyone is rewarded differently. But this is again a question for the head coach :)

In 2012 - only "gold"!

- After all, you can go to a fortune-teller, feel out your future ...

Maybe someday I will. Not even to find out what awaits me, but only to destroy the predicted circumstances, if they seem disappointing to me. It is foolish to listen to your verdict and then suffer all your life, thinking that nothing can be changed. A person was born to fight, and should not surrender under any circumstances!

- That is, if you get a “bronze” at the 2012 Olympics, which in itself is an outstanding phenomenon for the Belarusian swimming, then ...

Only "gold"! I once had a dream that I ... But no, I won't tell, although my dreams usually come true. In my opinion, it makes no sense to work all my adult life, deny myself in many ways and not strive to become the best at the same time.

- Are you not upset by the fact that many Olympic champions after the end of their sports career, as a rule, do not realize themselves in their post-sports life?

I'm not going to be famous all my life. I am quite satisfied with the laurels of a man who glorified his country on waterways. And then ... I get a second education in economics and, perhaps, after sports, I will choose a fundamentally different path. Life is not in vain if you find yourself the right people

- How much do you earn now?

The amount depends on the number of competitions won, but on average about 7-8 million Belarusian rubles per month.

News of Belarus. The main star of the Belarusian swimming, Alexander Gerasimenia, is now watching the top forums exclusively on TV, according to the "Sports Week" program on STV. A young mother supports her husband Yevgeny Tsurkin and the entire Belarusian team from Minsk.

Our correspondent Yulia Silipitskaya met with an eminent athlete, talked about swimming and about life outside of it.

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Now the World Short Course Championship has started. Do you follow the tournament?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
Of course. Especially because my Zhenya is there.

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Isn't it strange that only 8 athletes went, and 8 coaches with them? What's the point?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
In fact, these are not only trainers, but also a massage therapist and a psychologist. In general, in a good team, this is normal.

"Anastasia Shkurdai is a really very good athlete"

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Anastasia Shkurdai is compared to you, do you think she will surpass you? Is it not scary that competition has appeared?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
You have to swim to compete. I don't know anything about Nastya as a person, but she is really a very good athlete.

“I don’t like to give forecasts, I’m an athlete, and we are all superstitious”

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Forecast for the World Cup?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
I don’t like to give forecasts, I’m an athlete, and we are all superstitious. Today we already have a medal, and one medal is already a good performance. I would like more. You see: they perform well without me.

Yulia Silipitskaya:
How is your club, what was it this year? Will daughter Sophia take her first steps there?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
The club is very good. We have already switched to the electronic registration form, and the most important thing is that this week we will have a tournament where the guys will be selected for international competitions. The youngest participants were born in 2013. And, of course, the elders. There is no program for people like Sofia, but in the near future we want to open groups for younger kindergarten age groups.

Yulia Silipitskaya:
They talk about the formation of a water sports association. Your opinion? Could you lead?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
It depends on why this is done, if there is benefit in the work, then of course, why not.

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Could you lead?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
Why not. I have colossal international experience that I can share.

« I have already started training»

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Thinking of getting ready for Tokyo?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
This is a very difficult question. I have already started training, but I will say: it is difficult not because I haven’t trained for a long time, but because I have to leave Sophia, she’s breast. So I'm very happy with being a mom for now.

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Besides being a mom, where do you see yourself in swimming?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
I have my own club, but I haven’t thought so far. I enjoy my current status.

Yulia Silipitskaya:
After the birth of Sophia, did the former Gerasimene remain?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
Of course I have changed. The most important thing is that she became calm, settled down.

« We are losing many talented children as there are no pools in their area»

Yulia Silipitskaya:
What do you think, what needs to be radically changed in the Belarusian swimming so that world-class stars appear?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
We must, of course, pay attention to the regions, because we are losing many talented children, since there are no swimming pools in their area. And of course, all groups should be free, although our swimming sections are all free. Well, the coaching staff should be stimulated.

“Three medals are comparable to three children. I'm ready for the third "

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Would you like to compete at the European or World Championship at home?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
Yes, it's great, but the second European Games are ahead, let's see how everything goes. Hope everything will be great. As for the World Championship, it could have been held at the Minsk-Arena. Yes Yes. There are such collapsible bowls, they are rented for the duration of the forums. It would be great!

Yulia Silipitskaya:
Three Olympic medals, in terms of emotion, what can be surpassed?

Alexandra Gerasimenya:
Well, of course, the birth of a child. And three medals are comparable to three children. I'm ready for the third!
