How prayers are read after Easter. Explanatory Orthodox prayer book. Cell prayers during the Easter period

1) From the Week of St. Thomas to the passing of Easter, all church services and requirements are preceded by three chants or the reading of the troparion "Christ is Risen from the Dead ..." (see also p. 5).

2) At the all-night vigil, "Christ is risen from the dead ..." (three times) is sung, according to tradition, instead of "Come, let us worship ..." and after "The blessing of the Lord on you ...", before the beginning of the six psalms (cf. p. 5).

3) At the Sunday all-night vigil, at the end of the stichera of Easter in the verse of Vespers, the troparion "Christ is risen from the dead ..." (once) is sung: it enters the last stichera, being its conclusion.

4) At the Liturgy "Christ is risen from the dead ..." (three times) is sung after "Blessed is the Kingdom ...".

  • Note. Usually, at the beginning of the All-night Vigil and the Liturgy, the clergymen sing the troparion 2 times in full, and the third time - ending with the words: “... trampling death with death”, and the singers end: “And giving the belly to those in the tombs”. In some churches the troparion "Christ is Risen ..." (once) is sung by the clergy, and then (once) both choirs repeat it. Before the Six Psalms, usually “Christ is Risen…” the choir sings all three times.

5) “Christ is risen from the dead ...” (three times) is read at the beginning of the hours, Vespers, Compline, Midnight Office and Matins: at the 3rd, 9th hours, Compline and Midnight Office - instead of “Heavenly King ...”, and at 1- m, 6 o'clock and vespers (if immediately before its beginning the 9th hour is read), according to tradition, instead of "Come, let us worship ...".

6) At the Liturgy, "Christ is risen from the dead ..." is sung (once) instead of "Videchom the True Light ...". Input: "Come, let us worship ... resurrected from the dead ...".

7) At the end of the Liturgy, on the exclamation: "Glory to Thee, Christ God, our Hope, glory to Thee," the singers sing: "Christ is risen from the dead ..." (three times). At all other services, after the exclamation: "Glory to Thee, Christ God, our Hope, glory to Thee," the end is according to custom. The dismissal at all services begins with the words: "Risen from the dead ...".

8) On Sunday, after the dismissal of the Liturgy, according to the ancient custom, the priest overshadows the people with the Cross three times and proclaims: “Christ is Risen!”, As in the days of Bright Week. The singers sing the concluding "Christ is risen from the dead ..." (three times), "And we have been given an eternal life, we worship His three-day Resurrection" (once). On weekdays, there is no overshadowing of the Holy Cross.

9) Troparion "Christ is risen from the dead ..." is also sung at the beginning of prayers, requiem, Epiphany, funeral service and other services.

10) "Heavenly King ..." is not read or sung until the day of the Holy Trinity.

11) Services of the happened saints on all Sundays of Holy Pentecost (except Great Martyr George, Apostle John the Theologian, St. Nicholas, St. Equal to the Apostles Constantine and Helena, temple and polyeleos holidays) are not combined with the Sunday service, but are performed at Compline together with the canon of the Theotokos from Octoichus and the triodes of the Color Triodi (placed in the appendix of the Triodi).

12) "Having seen the Resurrection of Christ ..." is sung three times at Sunday matins, and on other days at matins, before the 50th psalm, once.

13) The canon of Easter is sung on Sunday morning in the Week of Myrrh-Bearing Women, the paralytic, about the Samaritans and about the blind, with all the troparions and the Theotokos, without the final "Christ is risen from the dead ..." for each song and without refrains on the 9th canon. On weekdays (at everyday services), the canon of Easter is not supposed to be sung. On the Week of Antipaskhi and on holidays with great praise, it is supposed to sing on the katavasia of the irmos of Easter (except for Prepolovedeniye and its giving).

14) In all Weeks (ie, Sundays) before Easter is given away, the "Most Honest" is not sung on Sunday Matins. The censing of the temple is performed on the 9th canon of the canon.

15) Exapostilary "Sleeping flesh ..." is sung on Sunday morning in the Week, when the canon of Easter is due.

16) At the 1st hour, on all days from Fomina's Week to Ascension, it is customary to sing the Easter kontakion instead of "The Climbed Voevoda ..."

17) At the Liturgy, on all days before the Ascension, except for the Feast of Prepolovedeniye and its giving, the recipient is sung: "The angel is crying ..." and "Shining, shining ...".

18) Communion of Easter "Receive the Body of Christ ..." is sung all the days before Passover, except for the week of St. Thomas and Prepolove with afterfeast.

19) Bows to the ground until the day of the Holy Trinity are canceled by the Rite.

In the follow-up to Monday of the 2nd week, the beginning of Matins is shown as follows: "Glory to the Saints and Consubstantial ...", "Christ is Risen ..." (three times). And "abiye" (immediately) according to "Christ is risen ..." - "Glory to God in the highest" and the usual six psalms. At the same time, it was noted that such a beginning of Matins should be "even before Ascension."

See: V. Rozanov, Liturgical Charter of the Orthodox Church. P. 676. There is an opinion that "Christ is Risen ..." at the beginning of the 1st hour is read only if the morning was dismissal; after the daily Matins, the 1st hour, according to this point of view, as an attached service, begins immediately with "Come, let us bow ..." (see: Michael, Hieromonk. Liturgy: Course of Lectures. Moscow, 2001, p. 196).

On the prayer rule during the celebration of Holy Easter

On all days of Easter week - the first week after the feast of the Resurrection of Christ - instead of evening and morning prayers, they are sung or read. They are found in most prayer books.

Those preparing for Communion instead of the penitential canon for the Lord Jesus Christ, the canons for the Most Holy Theotokos and the Guardian Angel should read, as well as Follow-up to Holy Communion.

All prayers(including thanksgiving prayers according to Holy Communion) preceded by threefold reading the troparion of Easter: “ Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and giving life to those in the grave”. Psalms and prayers from the Trisagion (“Holy God…”) to “Our Father…” (with the troparions after him) are not read.

Easter Hours are also sung instead of Compline and Midnight Office.

From the second week to Easter the reading of the usual morning and evening prayers begins again, as well as the Rules for Holy Communion, which includes the canons to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Most Holy Theotokos, the Guardian Angel and the Follow-up to Holy Communion.

However, it is necessary to pay attention to the following features.

Before the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, on the eve of which the giving of the Easter holiday is performed, instead of praying to the Holy Spirit("To the Heavenly King ...") the troparion of Easter is read three times ("Christ is risen from the dead ...").

Likewise from Monday of the First Week after Easter until Ascension: instead of the prayer "It is worthy to eat", reads:

« An angel cries out more blessed: Pure Virgin, rejoice! And pack the river: rejoice! Thy Son is risen three days from the grave and raised up dead; people, have fun!
Shine, shine, the new Jerusalem, the glory of the Lord ascends upon you. Rejoice now and be merry, Zion. But you, Pure One, show off, Mother of God, about the rebellion of Your Nativity. "

From the Ascension to the day of the Holy Trinity prayers start with the Trisagion("Holy God ...") - the prayer to the Holy Spirit ("Heavenly King ...") is not read or sung until the feast of the Holy Trinity. Until the day of the Holy Trinity, prostrations are also canceled.

According to a long-standing tradition, the usual morning and evening prayers are replaced on Bright Week by Easter hours. All hours: 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th are exactly the same and read the same. This succession of the Easter Hours contains the basic Easter chants. It begins, of course, “Christ is risen from the dead, trampling death by death and giving life to those in the tombs”, “Seeing Christ's Resurrection…” is sung three times, then the ipakoi, exapostilarium and so on. This sequence in reading time is much shorter than the usual morning and evening rule... Ordinary prayers, which contain both a repentant prayer and a different kind, are all replaced by Easter hymns that express our joy at this great event.

How do they partake on Bright Week? What is the charter of the Church?

There is no charter of the Church concerning the peculiarities of Communion on Bright Week. They partake in exactly the same order as they partake at other times.

But there are different traditions. There is a tradition of the synodal period of the pre-revolutionary Church. It consisted in the fact that people received Communion quite rarely. And, mainly, we received communion with fasts. It was not customary to receive communion on Easter. Back in the 70s and 80s, in the Pukhtitsa Monastery, the desire to commune on Easter night was perceived as a very strange movement, it seemed that it was absolutely unnecessary. Well, as a last resort, on Holy Saturday, but in general, on Holy Thursday, it was believed that one should receive Holy Communion. The same was true of Bright Week. The logic that justifies this practice in this case is approximately that Communion is always associated with repentance, with confession before Communion, and since we celebrate a great holiday and, in general, other great holidays, what kind of repentance is this? And if there is no repentance, then there is no Communion.

From my point of view, this does not stand up to any theological criticism. And the practice of the ancient Church of the pre-synodal period both in Russia, and in general in the ancient Church everywhere, was that it was on the great holidays that people were sure to strive to partake of the Holy Mysteries of Christ. Because to experience the fullness of the celebrated event, to truly participate in the event that the Church celebrates, is possible only in Communion. And if we experience this event only speculatively, then this is not at all what the Church wants and can give us, believers. We must just join! Connect physically to the reality that is remembered on this day. And this can be done only by fully participating in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, which is celebrated on this day.

Therefore, modern practice in most churches is such that people are by no means denied Communion on Bright Week. I think that it is reasonable for those who wish to receive the Holy Communion these days, to confine themselves to the confession that took place on Holy Week. If a person came on Holy days and confessed, and he does not feel such serious internal reasons that would separate him from the opportunity to receive Communion, some sins during this Easter period, then I think that it would be perfectly possible to receive Communion without confession. ... However, in no case do I recommend doing this without consulting your confessor, and somehow without coordinating with the priest in whose church you receive communion. Just so that there are no misunderstandings and disagreements.

Why on Great Saturday, on Easter itself and throughout Bright Week, instead of the Trisagion, is it sung “Elitsy baptized into Christ, put on Christ!”, Which is sung when people are baptized?

This means that this period in ancient church was a period of mass baptism. And if people were baptized on Holy Saturday, which was practiced extremely widely, so that they would already take part in the Easter service as faithful, and not as catechumens, then during the entire Bright Week these people were forever in the church. They were anointed with ointment, and the places that were anointed with ointment were tied with special bandages. In this form, people sat in the temple without leaving. It was a little similar to how now, when they are tonsured into monks, the newly tonsured one is also constantly in the temple and participates in all services. The same thing happened with the newly baptized for seven days. And, besides, this was the time when sacramental or secret-water conversations (in Greek, mystology) were conducted with them. We can read these conversations of the Monk Maximus the Confessor, other famous preachers of the ancient Church, who did a lot to educate the newly baptized. These are the conversations and daily prayer and Communion in the church. And on the eighth day, the same rituals were performed that we perform immediately after Baptism: cutting hair, wiping off the world, and so on. All this took place on the eighth day after the period of consecration of a person, truly becoming a church, and introduction into church life. They wiped him off, removed the bandages, and he came out as a real experienced spiritual Christian and began his further church life. Therefore, in the ancient church, such people, and the laity also with them, received Holy Communion daily. All together praised God for His great blessings.

Bright Week - it is solid, what about fasting?

Here you can refer to the practice of priests. We all serve on these bright days, and the priests do not fast at all. This fast before Communion is associated with the tradition of comparatively rare communion. If people receive Communion regularly, say, once a week, come to church on Sunday, and come to receive Communion on the Twelve Great Feasts, then I think that most priests do not require these people to fast before Communion, except for natural fast days - Wednesday and Friday. that are for all people and always. And if on Bright Week, as we know, there are no these days, it means that on these days we do not fast and we partake without this special fast before Communion.

Is it possible to read akathists on Bright Week, at least in private? Maybe only the Lord can be praised this week, but the Mother of God and the saints are not supposed to?

Indeed, now all our spiritual experiences are directed towards this main Event. Therefore, in churches you notice that priests on leave do not remember, most often, day saints, but pronounce a festive Easter leave. In services, we also do not use the memory of the saints, although a prayer service on Holy Easter, if it is performed, then there is a commemoration of the saints of the day, and the troparion can be sung. There is no such strict statutory rule that the commemoration of saints during this period is strictly prohibited. But services of this kind, such as akathists and others, which are dedicated to events not related to the Resurrection, will somewhat defocus our spiritual attention. And, perhaps, indeed, during this period you should not carefully examine the calendar and see what events there are, but rather immerse yourself in the experiences of Easter events. Well, if there is such a great inspiration, then secretly, of course, you can read the akathist.

Is it possible to commemorate the dead during Holy Week and Bright Week?

Traditionally, it is not customary in the Church to perform requiems on Holy and Bright Weeks. If a person dies, then he is buried with a special Easter rite, and the first mass commemoration of the dead, which takes place after Easter, is Radonitsa: Tuesday of the second week after Easter. Strictly speaking, it is not provided for by the charter, but, nevertheless, it is a tradition that has long been established. On these days, they often visit cemeteries, serve funerals. But secretly, of course, you can remember. At the Liturgy, if we perform proskomedia, of course, we commemorate both the living and the dead. You can also submit notes, but public commemoration in the form of a memorial service is usually not accepted at this time.

What is read in preparation for Communion on Bright Week?

There may be different options here. If usually three canons are read: penitential, to the Mother of God, to the Guardian Angel, then at least the penitential canon is not so obligatory in this combination. The rule to Holy Communion (and prayer) is certainly worth reading. But it makes sense to replace the canons by reading one Easter canon.

How to connect the Twelve Feasts or Holy Week and worldly work?

This is a really difficult, serious, painful problem. We live in a secular state that is completely not oriented towards Christian holidays. True, there are some shifts in this matter. Here is Christmas made a day off. Easter always falls on Sunday, but they don't give it a day off. Although, say, in Germany and in other countries, a big holiday is always followed by a day off. They arrange Easter Monday, that's what it's called. The same is true for Trinity, on other holidays in traditional Christian countries, where there was no revolution, there was no godless government that rooted it all out, uprooted it. In all countries, these holidays are recognized, despite the fact that the state is secular.

Unfortunately, we do not have this yet. Therefore, we have to apply to those circumstances of life in which the Lord judges us to live. If the work is such that it does not tolerate the opportunity to take time off or postpone it to other days, or move it more or less freely in time, then you have to choose. Either you stay in this job and somehow sacrifice your need to attend church services more often, or you need to try to change your job so that there is more freedom to attend church services. But nevertheless, very often you can agree, in good relations, that you will be released from work or a little earlier, or you can warn that you will come a little later. There are early services - Liturgy, say, at 7 o'clock in the morning. All major feasts, and on Holy Week, on the Great Four, two Liturgies are always served in large churches. You can go to the early Liturgy, and by 9 o'clock you will be already free, at the beginning of 10. So by 10 o'clock you can get to work, almost anywhere in the city.

Of course, it is impossible to combine work with attending all the services of Holy Week both in the morning and in the evening. And I think that there is no urgent need to break with normal, good work, if it does not provide an opportunity to be at all services. At least on the main ones, say, the Great Fours. The removal of the Shroud is a wonderful service, but it is performed during the day, which means you will not be there, but you can come to the burial rite at 6 o'clock in the evening. And you can be a little late, too, there will be nothing terrible. The 12 Gospels are celebrated on Thursday evening - also a service that is very good to be at. Well, if there is a daily work or some difficult schedule, you have to work 12 hours a day, then you will inevitably miss some services, but the Lord sees your desire to be at these services, to pray, and will reward you. Even your absence will be credited to you as if you were.

Your heart's desire is important, not your personal presence. It is another matter that we ourselves want to be in these special moments of the Savior's life in the church and, as it were, closer to Him, closer to experience everything that He was destined to experience, but circumstances do not always allow. Therefore, if your work does not restrict you so much that you can’t go to church at all, you should not change it. You must try to find such moments and negotiate with your superiors so that some small indulgences are made to you, but at other times you will try to work better there, more so that there are no complaints.

Our daily life always presents us with some problems of how we can combine life in the world with our spiritual life, with our church life. And here we need to show some flexibility. We cannot refuse to work, we cannot go somewhere underground, or then we have to choose the monastic path, then our whole life will be devoted to God, to service. But if there is a family, it is impossible, and here it is necessary to apply. Sometimes it is not even work that can limit us, but household chores, children that require our attention. If the mother is constantly in church, and the child is constantly alone at home, there will be little good either. Although the mother prays in the temple, nevertheless, sometimes it is more important just personal presence and participation in the lives of her children. So, be "wise as serpents" in dealing with such issues.

Getting up from sleep, before any other deed, stand reverently, presenting yourself before the All-Seeing God, and, making the sign of the cross, say: In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Then wait a little, until all your feelings come to silence and thoughts leave everything earthly, and then perform the prescribed short prayers with bows, without haste and with heartfelt attention.

Through the prayers of our holy fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

Instead of the prayer "King of Heaven ..." from Easter to Ascension, the troparion of Easter is read three times:

Troparion, voice 5

Christ rose from the dead, / trampling death on death / and to those in the tombs / giving life. (3)

Trisagion

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.

Prayer to the Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord, cleanse our sins; Lord, forgive our iniquities; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake!

Lord have mercy. (3)

Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now, and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who is in heaven! Hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done, as in heaven, on earth; Give us today our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Troparia to the Holy Trinity

Rising from sleep, we fall to Thee, Good, / and we proclaim an angelic song to Thee, Strong: / "Holy, Holy, Holy Thou, God, / through the prayers of the Theotokos have mercy on us!"

Glory: From bed and from sleep You raised me, Lord! / Enlighten my mind and heart, / and open my mouth, / to praise You, Holy Trinity: / "Holy, Holy, Holy You, God, / through the prayers of the Mother of God, have mercy on us!"

And now: Suddenly the Judge will come / and the deeds of each will be revealed. / But in fear we exclaim at midnight: / "Holy, Holy, Holy You, God, / through the prayers of the Mother of God, have mercy on us!"

Lord have mercy. (12)

Prayer to the Holy Trinity

Having risen from sleep, I thank You, Holy Trinity, that due to Your great goodness and longsuffering, You, God, were not angry with me, lazy and sinful, and did not destroy me with my iniquities, but showed me Your usual philanthropy, and lifted me up, in the unconsciousness of the one lying, so that early in the morning I turn to You and glorify Your power. And now enlighten the eyes of my thoughts, open my mouth, so that I may learn Thy word, and comprehend Thy commandments, and do Thy will, and sing, glorifying Thee from the heart, and chanting Thy holy name, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit now , and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Come, let us worship our King, God!

Come, let us worship and fall down to Christ, the King, our God!

Come, let us worship and fall down to Christ Himself, our King and our God!

Psalm 50

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy and according to the multitude of Thy compassions, blot out my iniquity; Wash me completely from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me. To You, the One, I have sinned and done evil before You, so that you will be justified in Your words and conquer if they enter into judgment with You. For behold, I was conceived in iniquity, and in sins my mother gave birth to me. For behold, Thou hast loved the truth, Thy hidden and secret Thy wisdom revealed to me. You will sprinkle me with hyssop - and I will be cleansed; wash me - and I will become whiter than snow, let me hear joy and gladness - humiliated bones will rejoice. Turn Thy face away from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create a clean heart in me, O God, and renew the Right Spirit within me. Do not take me away from Thy presence and do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me. Return to me the joy of Thy salvation and confirm me with the Spirit of the Sovereign. I will teach the wicked your ways, and the wicked will turn to you. Deliver me from the blood, O God, the God of my salvation, my tongue will rejoice in Thy righteousness. Lord, you will open my mouth, and my mouth will declare your praise. For if you had desired the sacrifice, I would have given it - you will not be pleased with burnt offerings. A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; God will not despise a broken and humble heart. Bless, O Lord, in Thy grace, Zion, and may the walls of Jerusalem be erected, - then you graciously accept the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and burnt offerings, then they will lay calves on Your altar.

Prayer 2, same

Having risen from sleep, I bring the midnight song to You, Savior, and falling at Your feet, I cry to You: do not let me fall asleep in sinful death, but have pity on me, who voluntarily endured the crucifixion, and soon lift me up, lying carelessly, and save me standing before you in prayer. And after a night's sleep send me a clear, sinless day, Christ God, and save me.

Prayer 3, same

To You, Vladyka Humanity, I hasten to rise from sleep, and I am in a hurry to do what is pleasing to You, according to Your mercy, and I pray to You: help me at all times, in every matter, and deliver me from all evil vicissitudes in this world and from the devil. assistance, and save me, and lead me into your eternal kingdom. Prayer 5, St. Basil the Great

Lord Almighty, God of incorporeal Forces and all flesh, living on the heights of heaven and looking around the earthly valleys, experiencing both hearts and inner feelings and the innermost of people knowing clearly, beginningless and eternal Light, which has no change and not a shadow of change! Himself, immortal King, accept our prayers, which we, boldly relying on the multitude of Your mercies, at the present time [of the night] from our bad lips we bring You, and forgive us our sins, in deed, word, and thought, deliberately and ignorantly committed us, and cleanse us from all filthiness of flesh and spirit, [making us temples of Thy Holy Spirit]. And grant us with a waking heart and a sober mind the whole night of our present life to pass, waiting for the coming of the bright day for the appearance of Your Only Begotten Son, Lord and God and our Savior Jesus Christ, when He, the Judge of all, will come to earth with glory to reward everyone according to his deeds. ; may He find us not fallen and lazy, but awake and ascended, while fulfilling His commandments, and ready to enter with Him into the joy and divine chamber of His glory, where the celebrating voice is incessant and the ineffable pleasure of contemplating the unspeakable beauty of Your face. For You are the true Light, illumining and sanctifying everything, and all creation praises You for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 6, same

We bless you, the Almighty God and Lord of mercy, who always does great and incomprehensible deeds with us, but glorious and terrible, which are innumerable, who gave us a dream for the repose of our weakness and for rest from the labors of the hard flesh. We thank You, for You did not destroy us with our iniquities, but showed Your love for mankind, as usual, and we, lying in the sleeplessness of our sleep, raised up to glorify Your might. Therefore, we pray Thy immeasurable goodness: enlighten our mental eyes and our minds from the heavy sleep of carelessness. Open our mouths and fill them with praise for You, so that we can unwaveringly sing, [praise] and glorify You, in all and from all the glorified God, the beginningless Father with your only-begotten Son and all-holy, and good and life-giving Your Spirit, now, and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 7. Midnight Song to the Most Holy Theotokos

I sing of Thy grace, Lady, I pray to Thee, give grace to my mind. Instruct me to walk right in the way of Christ's commandments. Strengthen me, so I stay awake in singing, driving away despondency from sleep. Bound by the bonds of the Falls by Thy prayers, set free, Bride of God. Save me night and day, saving me from the attacks of enemies. Who gave birth to God, the life of the Giver, revive me, mortified by passions. Who gave birth to the Never-Evening Light, enlighten my blinded soul. O wondrous Chamber of the Lord, make me the home of the Divine Spirit. Who gave birth to a doctor, heal the long-term passions of my soul. Carried on the waves by the storm of life, guide me to the path of repentance. Deliver me from the eternal fire, evil worm and hell. May I not be the joy of demons, guilty of many sins. Renew me, Immaculate One, decrepit from inconspicuous sins. Show me not involved in any torment and beg the Lord for all. Honor me with all the saints to share in heavenly joy. Most Holy Virgin, hear the voice of Your obscene servant! Grant me streams of tears, Most Pure One, who cleanse my souls from filth. Wailing from my heart I bring You incessantly - be zealous, Lady! Accept my prayer service and bring it to the merciful God. Ascended above the Angels, lift me up above the confusion of the world. Luminous Heavenly Tabernacle, direct spiritual grace in me. I lift up my hands and lips to praise, defiled with filth, O All-blameless. Deliver me from soul-destroying abominations, begging Christ diligently - to Him honor and worship befits now, and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 8, to our Lord Jesus Christ

Most merciful and all-merciful my God, Lord Jesus Christ, according to great love You came down and incarnated to save everyone. And again, Savior, I pray to You: save me by grace! After all, if you could save me for works, it would not be a grace and a gift, but rather a duty. Thus, rich in compassion and inexpressible in mercy, - for You said, about my Christ: "He who believes in Me will live and will not see death forever." If faith in You saves those who have lost hope, then behold, I believe, save me, for You are my God and Creator. May faith be reckoned to me instead of works, my God, for you will not find any works to justify me. But instead of all of them, let this faith of mine be enough - let it answer, let it justify me, let it show me a participant in Your eternal glory. May Satan not kidnap me, and may not boast that he has torn me away from Yours, the Word of God, hands and fences. But whether I want to or not, save me, Christ, my Savior, come to my aid soon, hurry, I am perishing - for You are my God from my mother's womb! Grant me, Lord, to love You now, as I once loved that very sin, and to serve You again without laziness, diligently, as I previously worked for Satan, the seducer. I will constantly serve You, my Lord and my God Jesus Christ, all the days of my life, now and always, and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer 9, to the Angel, the guardian of human life

Holy Angel, set to watch over my poor soul and unhappy life, do not leave me, a sinner, and do not leave me for my intemperance. Do not allow an evil demon to rule over me through this mortal body. Take a poorly unhappy and drooping hand of mine and lead me on the path of salvation. Oh holy Angel of God, guardian and patron of my poor soul and body! Forgive me everything with which I have offended You all the days of my life, and if I sinned with anything on this last night, protect me in the present day and save me from every temptation of the enemy, so that I do not anger God with any sin, and pray to the Lord for me may He establish me in His fear and show me a slave worthy of His goodness. Amen.

Prayer 10.
Final morning prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos

My Most Holy Lady, Mother of God, with Your holy and all-powerful prayers, drive away from me your humble and unfortunate servant of Your despondency, oblivion, foolishness, negligence and all nasty, crafty and blasphemous thoughts from my poor heart and from my darkened mind, passion, and extinguish for I am wretched and unhappy. And deliver me from many harmful memories and intentions, and from all evil deeds, free me, for all generations bless You and Your venerable name is glorified forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for the Living

Save, Lord, and have mercy on my spiritual father (name), my parents (names), relatives (names), bosses, mentors, benefactors (their names) and all Orthodox Christians.

About the departed

Rest, O Lord, the souls of Thy servants who have fallen asleep: my parents (names), relatives, benefactors (their names), and all Orthodox Christians, and forgive them all sins, voluntary and involuntary, and grant them the Kingdom of Heaven.

If you can, instead of short prayers for the living and the dead, read this commemoration:

About the living

Remember, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, mercies and generosity, inherent in You from time immemorial, for the sake of which You became human, and crucifixion and death, for the salvation of the right of those who believe in You, was pleased to endure; and rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and sit to the right of God the Father, and look at the humble prayers of those who call on you with all your heart; incline Thy ear, and hear the humble prayer of me, Thy obscene servant, like the aroma of a spiritual scent, bringing Thee for all Thy people. And first, remember Thy Holy Church, Catholic and Apostolic, which Thou hast acquired with Thy precious Blood, and strengthen, and strengthen, and expand, multiply, pacify, and preserve the invincible gates of hell forever; cease the divisions of the Churches, curb the insolence of the pagans, and soon destroy and eradicate the heresies of the uprising, and turn into nothing by the power of Your Holy Spirit. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on our God-protected country, its authorities and its army, so that we can lead a quiet and serene life in all piety and purity. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on the Great Lord and Father of our Most Holy Patriarch (name), the Most Reverend metropolitans, archbishops and Orthodox bishops, also priests and deacons, and all the clergy, whom You have set to shepherd your spiritual flock, and through their prayers have mercy and save me, a sinner. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on my spiritual father (his name), and through his holy prayers forgive my sins. (Bow)

Save, O Lord, and have mercy on my parents (their names), brothers and sisters, and relatives according to the flesh, and all those close to my kind, and friends, and grant them Thy earthly and heavenly blessings. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on the elders and the young, the beggars and the orphans, and the widows, and those who are in sickness and sorrow, in troubles and sorrows, difficult circumstances and captivity, in dungeons and confinement, especially Thy servants, for the sake of You and the Orthodox faith persecuted from the pagans, the atheists, from apostates and from heretics, and remember them, visit, strengthen, comfort, and soon, through Your power, give them relief, freedom and deliverance. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on those sent to the service, and our traveling fathers and brothers, and all Orthodox Christians. (Bow)

Save, O Lord, and have mercy on those whom I, out of my folly, have seduced, from the way of salvation, I have turned away, and to deeds that are evil and inappropriate; By Your Divine Providence, convert them again to the path of salvation. (Bow)

Save, Lord, and have mercy on those who hate and offend me, and cause me trouble, and do not allow them to perish because of me, a sinner. (Bow)

Retreated from Orthodox faith and enlighten those who are blinded by the light of Thy knowledge with pernicious heresies, and bring them to Thy Holy Apostolic Catholic Church. (Bow)

About the departed

Remember, Lord, from this life of the departed most holy patriarchs, most reverend metropolitans, archbishops and Orthodox bishops, all, in priestly rank, and in the clergy and monastic rank, who served You, and in Your eternal abodes with saints rest. (Bow)

Remember, O Lord, the souls of Thy servants who have fallen asleep, my parents (their names), and all relatives according to the flesh; and forgive all their sins, voluntary and involuntary, granting them the Kingdom of Heaven, and the communion of Thy eternal blessings, and Thy infinite and blessed life pleasure. (Bow)

Remember, Lord, all with the hope of resurrection and eternal life of the departed: our fathers and brothers and sisters, and here and everywhere lying Orthodox Christians, and with Thy saints, where the light of Thy face shines, settle them, and have mercy on us, as Good and Humanitarian. Amen. (Bow)

Give, Lord, forgiveness of sins to all those who first departed in faith and the hope of resurrection, to our fathers, brothers and sisters, and make them an eternal memory. (Three times)

From Antipascha (Week of Thomas) to the giving of Easter, at the end of the prayers included in the home prayer rule, instead of "It is worthy to eat ...", the chorus and irmos of the 9th canon of the Easter Canon are read:

The Angel proclaimed to the Blessed One: / “Pure Virgin, rejoice! / And I will say again: Rejoice! / Your Son was resurrected on the third day from the grave, / (and raised the dead. ”/ People, triumph!)

Shine, shine, new Jerusalem, / for the glory of the Lord has risen over you! / Rejoice now and show off, Zion! / Rejoice, Pure Mother of God, / about the resurrection of the One Born by You.

Then: Glory, and now: Lord, have mercy. (3) Lord bless.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, through the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother, our reverend and God-bearing fathers and all saints, have mercy and save me, a sinner.

The temple is already ukRushen and ready for service, but everyone needs to get out of it. And the doors must be closed... Now in our minds the temple is the Life-Giving Tomb of the Savior. And we ourselves go to him, as once the myrrh-bearing wives.

The world is based on the week. The number six indicates the created world, and the number seven reminds that the created is covered with a blessing. Here is the key to understanding the Sabbath celebration. On the seventh day, i.e. on Saturday, God blessed what He had created, and while resting on Saturday from daily affairs, a person had to reflect on the works of the Creator, praise Him for arranging everything wonderfully. On Saturday, a person was not supposed to show power

There is no Christianity without faith in the Risen Christ. That is why all opponents of our faith are persistently trying to shake the truth of the Resurrection.

The first objection: Christ did not die on the cross: He only fell into a deep swoon, from which he later woke up in a cave, got up from His bed, rolled a huge stone from the door of the tomb and left the cave ... To this ...
