Packing roses in corrugated paper. Packing bouquets: how to pack a bouquet in a film? How to pack flowers in a pot

Holidays are getting closer New Year, Birthday, Wedding Day, you never know holidays), gifts and menus are in place, but .... Flowers! It’s quite difficult to find a beautiful and whole package now, and if it is possible, then most often it is either very beautiful (then it’s a pity to throw it away) or expensive (especially in holidays this bag is worth a fortune).

How to be: again fork out and spend time or resort to the good old advice from the category "Do It Yourself"? Let's find out how to wrap flowers beautifully! And do it with your own hands.

Beautiful handmade flower gift

If flowers serve as an addition to the gift, and there are problems with the packaging (it doesn’t look like it is wrinkled, torn, its absence) you need to do it yourself.

So, in order to create the packaging that you like, you need to take:

  • flowers;
  • stationery knife or scissors;
  • narrow tape;
  • small decorative elements;
  • packaging material (perfectly suitable from rice composition, wrapping will be a good option and the most popular is corrugated).

General rules for registration

Methods used by many florists:

  1. in order for the bouquet to please the owner for a long time, it is better to cut the plants (or already take the morning batch) and store in the cold;
  2. the stems, to give the flowers pomp, are tied with tape (you can do it more than once);
  3. paper must be selected not only for quality, but also for combination with the bouquet itself;
  4. accessories should give charm to plants, but not “pull the blanket over yourself” (for example, sometimes one ribbon is enough).

How beautiful to pack flowers with your own hands?

Before the decoration part, a part of the stem is cut out from the flowers and put in water, otherwise it won’t even take an hour - they will wither.

If the wrapping paper is corrugated, then you need to understand that such packaging gives splendor to bouquets (if it is magnificent in itself, it is better to refuse such material, otherwise it will be “heavy”).

If the packaging designer is rice- then the bag will acquire romance and tenderness (a great option for a wedding). Wrapper is best used for official meetings (“expensive and tasteful”), but alas, it deteriorates very quickly.

If a bouquet gift consists of plants that are easily deformed (break), then carefully wrapped in a bag, the stems are tied with wire or a bundle (it can be “hidden” with an elegant ribbon or bow).

Packaging options in different colors

Universal

  • definition with the components of the bouquet, the material is selected (for example, lilies will look good in a gift box);
  • so, it is worth remembering that the packaging tape is called raffia and that there are wavy lines, it is enough to hold part of the tape and one of the scissor blades - pull sharply along the entire length (it is better for children not to do this). So the beautiful bouquet holder is ready;
  • a square is cut out a little more than the bouquet component and folded in a scarf way - the pattern and stems should be inside. Instead of a square, you can cut out two strips and arrange them so that a halo forms over the flowers. And it is beautiful and will not harm the flowers;
  • You can tie up with two different ribbons and secure with a bow or a beautiful pebble.

If it's wild flowers

  • so that the bouquet is not too “standout” and looks really cute - you need to give preference to small and simple plants;
  • fold the paper into a triangular shape;
  • we connect everything together (a thin festive fabric or lace is suitable) fastened with tape or a tourniquet, masked with raffia.

How to decorate a chamomile bag?

  • the base of the plant is rewound with small tape several times;
  • we make the packaging as baggy, place the flowers there;
  • fasten the bag with tape.

roses

  • we take the thinnest paper, for example cigarette paper;
  • it develops in a triangular shape, hiding the stems;
  • we connect, along the way adding folds;
  • now a thick fabric or festive paper is used and doing the same as in paragraph 1;
  • fix with a bow or ribbon, straighten the folds.

Now it's time to make a stand / background for a bouquet of roses

  • roses will look better on dark cardboard (but not on black!) or velvet paper;
  • a strip is cut slightly longer than the plant;
  • bend one part of the resulting strip into a loop;
  • close the bottom of the stand;
  • the resulting “pocket” straightens out and inserts a flower there. You can donate!

For an exotic plant

If you give an orchid, gerbera, iris or a difficult plant, then:

  • a square or rectangular shape is cut out (you need to proceed from the volume of the bouquet) - it is better to take paper material corrugated;
  • in the center of the figure on transparent paper we place a bouquet and connect the even parts at the top;
  • the ends are tied with a bow or raffia, then straightened.

Flowers in a pot

There are such plants that without their own home they cannot survive, what to do with them?

  • if the plant is without a pot, then a disposable cup is taken and a sheet of foil is placed in it;
  • the same paper glass or pot on the outside;
  • fix with a ribbon / bow, folds are corrected.

Creating a flower arrangement implies an interesting design, suitable for exactly the person whom you would like to please with a bouquet of flowers. The gifts of nature are the most desired gift that can express a whole range of feelings of the giver. How to properly pack a bouquet of flowers to complement the composition, decorate it, but avoid "weighting" and not create a situation where the packaging distracts attention from the beautiful gifts of nature?

Packaging as a manifestation of style

Before choosing a package, it is worth considering the tastes of the person to whom the bouquet is intended. Depending on the character traits and belonging to a particular zodiac sign, a person's tastes can vary significantly. Someone likes lush and bright packaging, someone prefers a modest or stylish design, and someone does not like any packaging, but prefers the natural beauty of flowers.

However, floristry implies the existence of certain rules that will help you find the "golden mean" in the art of decorating a flower arrangement, which helps to be in the trend of fashion trends, aware of new trends that can help create a floral masterpiece:

  • Packaging for a floral ensemble is designed to hide the flaws of the bouquet without drawing attention to itself. At the same time, the brightness of colors, the abundance of packaging material, and many accessories can cancel out all the efforts to create a flower arrangement.
  • The spiral shape of the package gives the bouquet splendor. Any design in the form of a bag will add volume to the composition without squeezing the flowers into a dense bouquet. Round form, on the contrary, will add density to the composition, “pulling” all the plants together into a compact floristic ensemble. But the triangular version of the packaging of florists is considered to be mourning.
  • Everything that was considered stylish and fashionable not so long ago is now considered bad form. Fashion and time do not stand still, and today packaging in foil, crepe paper, cellophane is considered unacceptable.
  • The same applies to accessories. They are designed to place accents, to give the bouquet some sophistication, and not to distract attention.
  • The fashion trend today is everything natural, natural. Therefore, the packaging has also undergone some changes. Rice paper, mesh, felt, corrugated paper, etc. are applied.

Fresh flower arrangement packaging

How to properly pack a bouquet of flowers in paper and not only, you can consult a professional florist. However, some recommendations will help to manage here on your own and try yourself in a field that was unfamiliar until recently:

  • Before packing, the bouquet at the base should be pulled off with tape. This will give it extra volume. You can add decorative small inflorescences, ornamental greenery to the main buds, fern leaves will perfectly decorate the composition along the outer edge of the bouquet, it is permissible to add various feathers and other accessories. Also at this stage, you can include ribbons and a floral grid in the composition. All this contributes not only to the decoration of the bouquet, but also gives splendor and strength to the composition.
  • In flower shops, florists often use a wide satin ribbon to pull the stems of plants over several layers. Such drapery of the lower part of the bouquet can be made with lace or fine organza. This allows you to put together the flowers and plants included in the flower arrangement.
  • As packaging, you can use corrugated or wrapping paper. Corrugated paper is able to give the composition lightness and airiness, while packaging paper will emphasize the style and simplicity of packaging, drawing attention to the beauty of the flowers themselves. Increasingly, such packaging is used to decorate men's compositions in order to emphasize the status of the present and its masculine affiliation. Wrapping paper used to be used only as wrapping paper for goods, this is the so-called Kraft, but its practicality and naturalness have given it a new direction of application, and today it is widely used for wrapping flowers. How to properly pack a bouquet of flowers, a florist or a video of professional packing of bouquets can tell.
  • It is worth considering that not all plants are equally compatible. There are plants that are neutral to each other, but there are also those that can ruin the entire composition in a very short time.
  • If the flower arrangement is small, then you should not decorate it with large accessories, this will overload it. An expressive bow will make it possible to decorate such a bouquet without overloading it. Everything needs a sense of proportion.

Packing flowers in a pot

A flower in a pot can become a welcome and expensive gift. This is a great way to keep a present fresh for a long time and remind you of the pleasant moments of a past holiday or celebration. To give the gift a festive look, the pot must also be beautifully packaged.

For the simplest form of packaging such a present, you can cut a circle with a diameter equal to the height of the pot, plus seven centimeters at the bottom. Then, forming folds, lift the paper up and wrap the entire paper with a satin ribbon along the upper edge of the pot, securing it with a beautiful bow. The use of accessories in this case would be appropriate.

Flowers are a universal gift for any occasion. They talk about the attentive attitude of the giver. A luxurious bouquet, most often, does not require any packaging, but sometimes you can’t do without it. For example, in bad weather, when it is necessary to keep the flowers intact.

Bouquet packaging: basic rules

Before packing flowers, try to find out the tastes of the person to whom you will give them. When packing a bouquet, you should show imagination and use a variety of decorative elements. When decorating, you should follow the universal rules:

  • Packaging for flowers should become a decoration of the bouquet and hide flaws, but not distract attention to yourself.
  • The spiral method of packaging will make the bouquet lush, the round one will add density, and the triangular one is considered mourning by florists.
  • Flowers should not be wrapped in foil or crepe paper, nor should they be presented completely wrapped in cellophane or polyester ribbons. This is considered bad manners.
  • Do not get carried away with decorative elements: they should only place accents and give charm to the bouquet, and not attract the main attention.
  • At present, everything natural is valued, so it is worth using felt, rice paper, sisal, nets as decorative elements, corrugated paper, jute, etc.

How to pack a bouquet of flowers in an original way?

You will need:

  1. Scissors;
  2. Bouquet of flowers;
  3. Decorative elements (leaves, ribbons, paper, mesh, braid, bows, etc.);
  4. Rice paper.

Instruction:

  • Rewind the stems of the base of the bouquet with tape - this will create additional volume. You can add decorative flowers or other plant elements to the inflorescences. For decoration, you can use a floral grid and ribbons. The floral net looks dignified and keeps the bouquet well.
  • The classic option for packing flowers is a wide satin ribbon, which surrounds the stems in 3 girths. With the help of ribbons, you can completely drape the bottom of the bouquet. By the way, not only satin ribbon is suitable for girdling, but also thin organza, interlining and lace.
  • As a wrapper, you can use corrugated or wrapping paper. Corrugated paper will give the composition lightness, tenderness and fragility. The only disadvantage of such packaging is that the paper deteriorates quickly. Wrapping paper will add style to the bouquet, emphasize simplicity and will not burden it.
  • Use crepe paper or wrapping paper to wrap flowers. Fold in half pattern side down, lay the flowers in such a way that the stems remain below the paper. Now carefully wrap the bouquet on both sides and tie with a beautiful ribbon. The flowers themselves can be moderately decorated with decorative butterflies or bows, without loading the composition.

How beautiful to pack flowers?

Take a bouquet of flowers, tightly collect the stems one by one. Cut carefully. Cover the perimeter with plants with small inflorescences. You can also add peacock feathers, decorative leaves and artificial flowers. See that the bouquet is not overloaded.

Tie the stems with a soft-colored spiral ribbon. Wrap the bouquet with rice paper, cutting openwork flounces at the ends. Gently fold back the cut out frills and secure the wrapper.

Flowers in a pot are a great alternative to a regular bouquet. Such a gift will keep freshness for a long time. To make the flowers look simple, you can pack them beautifully.

  • The easiest way to pack potted flowers is to make a cardboard or paper box. Place the flower pot in the middle of the leaf. You can take a decorative sheet or a colored one. Bend 2 opposite corners and attach to the pot. Do the same with other opposite corners. Decorate paper packaging with decorative elements: beads, ribbons, braid, lace or a cute bow.
  • You can also pack potted flowers in other ways. Take 2 sheets: dense and thin. It is better to take colored or decorative paper. Glue the sheets to each other from the wrong side. Make an original bag: on one side, fold the sheet like a fan, and on the other, bend one corner. Sew 2 ribbons and carefully tie the package. For decoration, any decorative elements are suitable. The main thing is to show imagination.

  • A good packaging option for a flower in a pot is a box in the form of an octagonal prism. Construct a development of this figure, consisting of 8 equal triangles. The total width of the rectangles should be 3 cm larger than the flower pot you will be packing. Draw a drawing of the bottom and top of the box to one of the rectangles. Add flap strips that will serve as a connecting element. Transfer the drawing to decorative hard cardboard. Cut out, assemble the octahedron along the fold lines and glue it. Packing is ready!
  • The simplest option for packaging a flower in a pot is thin gift paper. Cut out a circle from it, which should be equal to the radius of the pot + the height from the bottom of the pot to the top of the flower + 7 cm. Place the flower pot in the center of the circle, lift the edges of the paper up, forming folds on the sides. Tie the paper at the top with a beautiful ribbon and attach a decorative bow.

Someone thinks that floristry is a simple activity that everyone can learn. Others believe that natural or artificial floristry is an impossible task for an ordinary person who does not have the proper knowledge, skills, artistic taste and creative thinking. In fact, both the first and second statements are true.

Floristry is an arts and crafts of assembling various flower arrangements, which has its own technical and creative side. And this means that really everyone can learn - first of all, if there is a desire. Therefore, if the birthday of your beloved friend, mother is approaching, or roses have simply blossomed in the garden, do not postpone your first lesson and try to assemble a bouquet yourself. Simple and understandable recommendations of an experienced florist will help in this.

Information: The main task of floristry is to provide floral decoration of the interior, attire, cars for the holiday, the preparation of everyday compositions for work, retail and residential premises, as well as the assembly of bouquets various kinds and destinations. In addition, the florist can create accessories from flowers - frames, arches, garlands, baskets, handbags and even necklaces with bracelets.

Preparatory stage

The assembly of bouquets begins with the preparation of raw materials and tools. Raw materials are, first of all, the flowers themselves, as well as auxiliary elements:

  • small buds and flowers;
  • green twigs, herbs, ferns;
  • decorative accessories - butterflies, bears, hearts, etc.

Of the tools, you definitely need scissors or a pruner, a knife, a stapler, stationery adhesive tape will speed up and facilitate the work (florists use a special professional one). You will need a decorative mesh, film or paper to wrap the finished bouquet, perhaps some additional tools or decorative details.

Important: in order for the bouquet to look harmonious, you should remember one simple rule: that part of it that will be in a bunch or in a vase is approximately one third of overall height compositions. There are other proportions - five parts of the height of the flowers remain outside, three parts are immersed in a vase. This rule works for classic vertical bouquets.

Assembly options

Florists have several ways to assemble bouquets. You can’t just gather flowers and greenery in an armful, tie it with twine and wrap it with oilcloth - it will be ugly and sloppy. Although in some cases professionals use just such a technique to get an original and unusual composition. But for beginners, it is better to familiarize yourself with classical techniques assembling bouquets, and then move on to creative experiments. There are the following main types:

  1. Parallel.
  2. Spiral.
  3. Asymmetric.

Today we will learn how to work with corrugated paper. We will get packaging for flowers made of corrugated paper (in common people - corrugated bouquets). By itself, corrugated paper comes in different colors and different densities (we will divide it into simple and “more expensive”). When you are at the flower shop with packaging, you will understand everything yourself and quickly learn to understand this very corrugated (crepe) paper.

In principle, the packaging is becoming obsolete, but in provincial small (and large too) cities it is still relevant. Bouquets are easy and quick to make. One of the options for universal packaging for bouquets of chrysanthemums (bush and single), bouquets of 3 or 5 roses, as well as mixed bouquets.

It is almost impossible to make such packaging by hand, you will need a corrugated paper machine (or a corrugated machine). This is such a special device, thanks to which you can create beautiful flower packaging. Below is an example of our old crepe machine. It comes with fine teeth.

Corrugation machines are of different types. They usually differ in the width of the teeth. You may have noticed that flower bouquets are different in terms of corrugated paper. It's all about those teeth!

Also machines for corrugation (or crepe paper) differ by manufacturers. There are Russian ones (in my opinion, rather crudely made), and there are Italian ones (pleasant in appearance and work, but they are more expensive than ours).

We will also need scissors, a stapler and a simple cellophane flower wrap. The most common packaging for peonies or tulips will do, but you can do it yourself. The bottom line is that we will need to make a "leg" for this bouquet.

Often flower merchants use the entire length of the corrugation, but it turns out not entirely profitable, as there is an overrun of paper, and there is also a big risk of wetting the paper in the finished bouquet (then the corrugation will “flow”, which will look ugly). To avoid this, we usually use our method by making cellophane "legs". However, you can do any options, try, experiment!

We will need to cut 2 strips! One strip will be wider, the other strip will be narrower. This is necessary in order to make the packaging color. The length of the package will be discussed in the video below, however, you can make any length depending on the fullness of the bouquets. For bouquets of chrysanthemums or 3 roses with greenery, the corrugated paper packaging will be narrower, for some mixed bouquets, where there will be many flowers, the packaging will, of course, be much wider!

We take the first roll of corrugated paper

Cut into several narrow strips

For comparison with a whole roll of paper

We start to twist

Nothing complicated! It just takes practice!

We do this until the end!

Now we connect all this with a piece wider

And again we pass through the corrugation machine

Now use the stapler and join the paper together at the two ends

It remains to attach the "leg" with a stapler. The lower part can be both transparent and colored, here your imagination and common sense will run wild!

Pieces of corrugated paper can be of different widths

The result can be such a nice package with hearts!
