Butyrka group composition. “Butyrka”: “What's wrong with us singing about life on the other side of the fence? Vladimir Zhdamirov now

Zhdamirov Vladimir Nikolaevich is a famous musician, one of the founders of a separate direction of chanson. We will talk about the biography and work of this talented person within the framework of this article.

Childhood

This prominent musical figure was born on August 6, 1958 in He was not the only child in the family, so he grew up in conditions of fierce competition, since each of the children wanted more attention and praise from their parents.

Parents surrounded their children with constant attention and care, and, despite the hard and difficult years of hardship, they tried to fence, wall their childhood, showing only good side life. And never, never focused on the bad. As if it doesn't exist at all.

Only the children still could not help but see the truth. Everything around was not that bad, but not good at the same time. Life gradually deteriorated, and the inquisitive child's mind understood this perfectly. But as long as the family was responsible for them, until they were left to the streets, the children could take the word of mom and dad. Having matured, they set off with their feet to plow the expanses of their vast homeland. And here the truth itself surfaced.

Youth

The guy's youth was, to put it mildly, unsafe. There was hooliganism in his youth, and constant drives to the police. The young guy lived to the fullest. For him there was only one day, and everything except him - but burn it all with fire, but destroy it! Several times the teenager came close to actually going to jail. But thanks to the connections of his parents, and just incredible cosmic luck, the young man escaped the shameful stigma of “criminal” in those days.

This could no longer continue. Since the parents were associated with art, and the boy's brother, not anyhow, but in the field of the dance genre, it is not surprising that Vladimir decided to forget about the crooked and narrow road of the criminal and, with his father's parting words, decided to seriously engage in music and independent creativity.

Quickly getting a taste, the guy begins to try to record his own songs. Little by little, the ability to play the guitar and the strengthened voice allow him to record the first test songs. His personal level as a musician is growing, and the guy is urgently seeking to find like-minded people.

Becoming an artist

Well, then the time rushed to run. It started, it started, it started spinning, it started spinning. Homemade guitars, which were made in the evenings in the courtyard, drinking alcoholic beverages. VIA, work at dances and weddings, to the noise of drunken guests and shouts of "Bitter" to the newlyweds. Vladimir tries to perform constantly, but his tight schedule gradually kills his desire to write real music. The career of a musician is limited to such small performances, and although he has a stable income and, in some way, fame, the man wants something more. Something else, but what, unfortunately, he does not know at all.

A new round in the biography of Vladimir Zhdamirov took place in 1997, when he met Oleg Simonov. Oleg was just released from prison, where he wrote most of the lyrics for future songs. Vladimir was one of the many performers to whom Oleg offered cooperation, but he was the only one whose voice, charisma and dedication helped to make right choice, who determined the fate of both for years to come. Their first joint project was called "Far Light", and, as many believe, it was he who became a turning point in the life of the authors of the project, forever changing their small world of music, showing it to the world exactly as the creators themselves saw it.

Cooperation

Relations within the team did not work out almost immediately after its foundation. No, two adults with a wealth of experience behind them did not stage demonstrative scenes and did not quarrel over trifles, as if that was what their life was about. But sometimes there were real conflicts of interest. The two musicians could not decide what their young group should become in the world of music and in which direction they would move.

For this reason, the success came to the collective after quite a long time, and the musicians had to put in a lot of effort for this. The first songs of Vladimir Zhdamirov were not very warmly received by the public. The collective, of course, attended events for money, and gave a number of concerts. But the music of Vladimir Zhdamirov and his group was of average quality, and people immediately heard it and could not fully enjoy the singing and playing of men.

I had to sit down and negotiate with each other. The reconciliation of the two sides was long, but gradually, with the opening and appearance of dialogue, the quality of the songs began to improve. Of course, the new songs did not bring worldwide fame, but people have already begun to wait for them, somehow showing the singers signs of love and attention.

End of creativity "Far Light"

The group ended its existence in the "Far Light" format for several reasons. Firstly, there are much fewer ideas for songs, and it seems like creative differences, forgotten and buried in the ground, began to appear again. The musicians did not want to go through not the most pleasant moments of creativity again and decided to end it on a high note, remaining friends.

Secondly, the audience and listeners at concerts began to think that musicians can do much more than they give out by their emotions and show in the quality of the music they have written. The fans' letters began to contain more and more hopes that the musicians would make a truly chic project that would bring them back to the Olympus of Russian music.

Due to these circumstances, the men made a joint decision to open a new chapter in their lives. They say little about this stage, but from the words that the journalists managed to extract from them, it is clear that now, after so much time, they do not regret anything.

"Butyrka"

In 2002, the band released their first album, The First Album. The disc was an overwhelming success. The listeners finally got something new, but there were also those among them who did not like the new music. But even without them, the collective had an impressive fan base, and in a short time the Butyrka group became one of the most popular chanson performers in Russia.

Of course, such news could not but affect the creativity and goal-setting of the group. The main thing in this story is that the fame was not accidental at all. The listeners finally got the desired piece of normal creativity, and the singer's voice also played a role. New glory.

The new album was released at the end, again in 2002. The group decided to hit the iron while it was hot, and pounced on the music, like a wild dog on a man. The public liked the album of Vladimir Zhdamirov and his team again. The group has already firmly established itself in its positions. The creativity of Vladimir Zhdamirov and the entire team was appreciated, which means that one could have a little rest and think about what to do now with fame and with the responsibility entrusted to their courageous shoulders. The number of corporate events, performances and just concerts has doubled, if not tripled in one month. Everyone wanted to listen and watch the musicians and their presentation live. The price tag for performances has increased, along with it has grown the opinion of artists about their own person.

Stars

The group began to receive all sorts of national prizes and awards. Musicians abandon writing new songs and touring across the country with an old and proven program. In every city they are warmly greeted, they are stars and are worthy of the warmth and loyalty of human hearts. They always have full rooms, and sometimes they play half-heartedly. But even such performances are popular with the public.

Artists begin to attend thematic programs, expand their staff and open new vacancies. Now they are not just musicians, they are a brand, and the brand's task is to match the level.

Problems within the team

But nothing lasts forever under the moon. The group, of course, had problems and disagreements, which they skillfully hid from the audience. But if they can be deceived by exposing themselves, then you will definitely not be deceived.

In December 2013, personnel changes take place in the team, which will become the final chord in life, and most importantly - there is no time in work famous group... Instead of Vladimir, a new vocalist is hired. Before this, no one informs the man about the previously made decision, which, in fact, is a covert game of other participants.

A new turn in the biography - Vladimir Zhdamirov is presented with a choice, but to the honor of the latter, he simply accepts it as a fact. Of course, it is difficult for him, of course, he does not want to leave his partners. But the choice was not made by him, which means that nothing depends on him.

Vladimir gathers musicians who do not want to work without him, and together they leave Butyrka, leaving behind this musical project.

After "Butyrka"

After parting with the group, Vladimir was in a difficult situation. He did not have the rights to perform his songs, the opportunity to immediately start writing new ones too. Studios were expensive, so for a start, the creative union of people who left Butyrka worked somehow, getting ready to start everything from scratch. Cheap corporate parties have returned, the atmosphere of communication between musicians and listeners has returned. He again begins to read his letters himself, again begins to answer them and ask for the opinion of the fans. The departure of fame is good for him, and soon he is recording his first solo album, which begins to spin and sound in the world.

Solo debut

On the first day of winter 2014, the official release of the debut solo album "Spring Behind the Fence" took place. Vladimir Zhdamirov is not upset. He continues to do what he loves - music. The song "Spring" by Vladimir Zhdamirov became popular on radio broadcasts. Tours begin, human love returns to the singer.

The Butyrka group was formed by joint efforts of Oleg Simonov and Vladimir Zhdamirov.
The history of the Butyrka group begins in September 2001. By this time, the collective had recorded several songs at a studio in Voronezh, but there was no name yet. Of all the Moscow recording companies that the musicians turned to, only the Master Sound company, well-known to fans of the genre under the name of the Russian Chanson company, became interested in the beginning band. Here they were noticed by producer Alexander Abramov, who, in turn, was able to convince the director of the company, Yuri Nikolaevich Sevastyanov, to pay attention to the group. Yuri Nikolaevich, who has a wealth of experience in discovering the stars of the genre (Mikhail Krug, Sergey Nagovitsyn and many others) gave the green light to the release of his debut album. True, the team did not have a name yet. But after September 3, 2001, several prisoners made a daring escape from the Moscow pre-trial detention center, known to everyone as Butyrka, Alexander Abramov suggested that this is what the team should be called. Everyone liked the name and it stuck.
The debut "First Album", released in 2002, was an overwhelming success. The original sound, the memorable vocals of Vladimir Zhdamirov, as well as the sincerity of Oleg Simonov's poems immediately made the team popular. The topics raised by Oleg in poetry were understandable and close to those who are familiar with the topic of life for barbed wire firsthand. But there is one more peculiarity - the themes of Butyrka's songs are not only about prison and camps, they have a lot about the fate of ordinary people and history, similar to stories from their lives.
"The second album" was released in the same 2002. It became a worthy continuation of a successful debut and consolidated the group's success. At the presentation of the public music award "Worthy Song 2002", which took place in St. Petersburg in the Big Concert Hall "Oktyabrsky", the group won in the nomination "Discovery of the Year" and was awarded the prize for best video in the genre "Russian chanson" (video for the song "Smell of spring" directed by A. Tumandeev).
Today the composition of the group looks like this:
Vladimir Zhdamirov - vocals, music composer
Oleg Simonov - keyboards, author of words
Alexander Goloshchapov - bass guitar
Yuri Akimov - drums
Dmitry Volkov - sound engineer
Until recently, the band's guitarist was Alexander Kalugin, but after Alexander decided to seriously engage in the concert business, the band's guitarist Vadim Glukhov joined the band. In the fall of 2006, the concert line-up of the Butyrka group underwent changes: the guitarist Vadim Glukhov was replaced by the Volgograd guitarist Sergei Egorov, and the drummer Tagir was replaced by the Muscovite Yuri Akimov.
The Butyrka group conducts an active concert activity and has more than once traveled through the cities of Russia from Orel to Nakhodka, not forgetting about other states.

Lovers of "thieves" lyrics Vladimir Zhdamirov is known primarily as a frontman. However, in 2013, the line-up of the group changed, and the musician took up a solo career. Vladimir was born in the Voronezh region, in the city of Liski, on August 6, 1958. My father served on the torpedo boats of the Pacific Fleet. Mom was the soul of the company and loved to dance.

According to the musician, his parents did not spoil him. Volodya's diligence and behavior at school "limped", and his favorite subjects were singing and physical education. The schoolboy often skipped lessons, although he admits that he liked to study. In the youthful biography of Zhdamirov, there were even cases of being brought to the police for hooliganism.

Life in the outback taught the boy to rely on himself. In the 2nd grade, he became the owner of his own moped, which he dealt with on his own - he even repaired it himself. For 11 years in his youth, the future artist worked in a construction team. Even then, the guy sang for the workers to please them a little.

After school, Vladimir served in the army as a radio operator, often took part in competitions as a participant from his company. In his second year of service, he let go of his famous mustache - among the soldiers it was considered very stylish.

The musical preferences of the young Zhdamirov were far from the music that he later began to perform. The young man dreamed of rock music, listened,. Of the Soviet musicians, he also gave preference to "Blue Bird". Hooligan behavior did not interfere with creativity. Vladimir learned to play the guitar, began to earn money in vocal and instrumental ensembles, play at holidays and dances.

Music

On a professional level, Vladimir took up creative work in 1997, after meeting Oleg Simonov, who had recently been released from prison. Over the years of his imprisonment, he accumulated song material, and Zhdamirov had the voice and texture necessary for stage work. Having united, Oleg and Vladimir created their first project "Far Light".

In 2001, the collective offered their creativity to the "Master Sound" company, where they were noticed by the producer Alexander Abramov. The group was offered the name "Butyrka" - not long before the recording of the album, prisoners escaped from the Butyrka prison.

In 2002, Vladimir together with the group recorded the "First Album", which became the creative debut of "Butyrka". Success came immediately, and the team began to form as a legend of Russian chanson. At the festival "Worthy Song 2002" "Butyrka" became the winner in the category "Discovery of the Year", and the first of the group's videos, "Smell of Spring", was recognized as the best in the chanson genre.

The song "It Smelled of Spring"

For the next 13 years Zhdamirov worked with Butyrka - he was a vocalist and musical director, wrote music for songs. During this time, the group's discography has accumulated 8 albums, songs from which are always popular among fans of the genre. The musicians claimed that they did not have songs without backstories, and some characters, for example, Baba Masha, have real prototypes.

Vladimir's relations with Oleg Simonov have always been uneven - the musicians had a quarrel even during the period of "Far Light". In 2009, disagreements began already in the entire group. Financial issues were rumored to be the main source of controversy.

The success of the group and the contract with the recording company kept Butyrka from breaking up, but during the tour the musicians could even demand separate dressing rooms. When Simonov brought in a second vocalist in 2013, a split became inevitable. In January 2014, Vladimir Zhdamirov officially announced that he was leaving Butyrka.

After parting with the group, the singer was banned from performing the hits of "Butyrka" from the stage. Initially, they were going to prohibit even the use of the words “ex-soloist of Butyrka” on posters, but Vladimir defended this right. In 2014, starting a solo career, the singer recorded the album "Spring Behind the Fence", which included 13 songs. The author of most of the texts was Dmitry Avdyukhov, a poet from Ryazan. All the music was written by Zhdamirov himself.

Song "Cranes over the taiga"

In February 2016, due to a misunderstanding of the context, a curiosity occurred with Vladimir, which almost turned into a scandal. A video appeared on the Web in which Zhdamirov, surrounded by festively dressed children, sings the song "Certificate", and the children sing along. Internet users instantly decided that the singer was performing with thieves' songs at a children's matinee and took such news negatively.

Zhdamirov was surprised at such conclusions and clarified the situation: firstly, the video was old, when the musician was still performing as a member of Butyrka. Secondly, this is a recording from a private event where the group was invited to perform. The fact that children were present at the holiday did not depend on the artist in any way, and the responsibility for this lies with the parents.

Song "City Central"

Although in one of the interviews Vladimir confirmed that sometimes parents came to the Butyrka concerts with their children, and this did not bother him. The singer believes: if the children like the songs, it means that the performers have positive energy, and they give the listeners bright emotions that will not harm.

Vladimir's "crown" voice, which provided the flavor of "Butyrka" and became its hallmark, is actually made on purpose. Initially, Zhdamirov's voice was clear, and in his solo work the artist began to use it as well.

Personal life

Little is known about the singer's personal life, and it is difficult to find photos from home archives on the Internet. Zhdamirov's cousin is Sergei Rudnev, People's Artist, who worked in the Krasnoyarsk Dance Ensemble of Siberia.

Vladimir has a wife and 4 children - three natural daughters and one adopted, family means a lot to him. Zhdamirov's own sister died at the age of 47, and the artist took up his niece. The singer loves children and is glad that one of the daughters gave him a grandson Ilya. Vladimir promises to teach the boy to play the guitar when he grows up.

Vladimir Zhdamirov with his granddaughter

Granddaughter Karina went to the 8th grade in 2018. The girl is also a creative person, she puts on dances. At the same time, he tries not to mention the famous grandfather - he wants to achieve everything herself.

From music, the artist prefers to listen to the classics - he says that this helps to find inspiration for writing his own melodies. In a 2018 interview for Chanson radio, the singer unexpectedly admitted that he considered one of the most iconic figures in music. According to Vladimir, he was a great performer and choreographer.

Vladimir Zhdamirov now

Now the artist is touring a lot in Russia with the Volny Wind group. As in the days of Butyrka, Vladimir continues to give charitable concerts in correctional institutions.

Another new move of Vladimir - songs outside the thieves' theme. The singer says that by nature he is a lyricist and has long wanted to try himself in this role.

There is one album in the discography of Vladimir Zhdamirov as a solo artist, but the singer is not going to stop there.

At the end of last year (or rather, in the fall of 2013), Vladimir Zhdamirov left the Butyrka group…. Why this happened - now many are interested in this question, however, for some reason, no one before today did not dare to analyze the situation. Let's try to understand this difficult, but already legendary, story.
We will operate with facts and only facts….

"BUTYRKA" is a group working in the genre of Russian chanson, created by producer Alexander Abramov in Moscow in autumn 2001. Vladimir Nikolaevich Zhdamirov (b. 06.08. 1958, born in the Voronezh region) - vocal, composer. Oleg Vladimirovich Simonov (b. 22.06. 1967, born in Tobolsk) - poems, keyboards; was in custody. The debut album was released in 2002 and brought the group widespread success and popularity, in the same year the group's second album was released. A video was shot for the song "Smell of Spring" from the second album. The group received the public music award "Worthy Song of 2002" for the best video in the genre of Russian chanson. The group goes on tour in Russia and abroad. In 2013, the group was left by its soloist Vladimir Zhdamirov.

All this is well known and is not subject to doubt and discussion…. True, there was another album, which was preserved only by connoisseurs of the genre and collectors, only then the group was called "Far Light".

Zhdamirov Vladimir Nikolaevich was born on August 6, 1958 in the Voronezh region. In his youth, there was hooliganism, and being brought to the police, and we can say that it was stormy. But since his parents were associated with art, and his brother was an honored artist of Russia in the field of the dance genre, it is not surprising that Vladimir, already in his youth, was drawn to music and creativity. Then it was like many at that time: homemade guitars, VIA, work at dances and weddings. A new round in the biography of Vladimir Zhdamirov took place in 1997, when he met Oleg Simonov, who had recently been released from prison, where he wrote most of the lyrics for future songs. Vladimir was one of the many performers to whom Oleg offered cooperation, but he was the only one whose voice, charisma and dedication helped to make the right choice, which determined the fate of both for years to come. Their first joint project was called Far Light.
Collaboration was not easy. Colleagues swore, put up, argued, but wrote songs. The turning point in their creative activity occurred after a meeting with future producer Alexander Abramov. He noticed them when the musicians, having received a refusal from many Moscow recording and production companies, turned to Master Sound (aka Russian Chanson). Abramov managed to convince the director of the company Yuri Nikolaevich Sevastyanov to pay attention to the team. Sevastyanov, who has a wealth of experience in discovering the stars of the genre (Mikhail Krug, Sergei Nagovitsyn and many others) gave the green light to the release of his debut album. The name “Butyrka” was suggested by chance, after on September 3, 2001, several inmates daringly escaped from the Butyrka prison. Everyone liked the name and it stuck.
…… As part of Butyrka, Vladimir worked for 13 years, being the author of music, leader and musical director of the collective. He recorded 8 albums - more than 80 songs, a good half of which were included in the golden collection of Russian chanson. Songs performed by Vladimir such as "It Smelled of Spring", "The Snow is Melting", "Certificate", "Icon", "Sharik", "Don't Touch Autumn", "The Last Dawn" and many others deeply sunk into the souls of the fans of the collective that for many years determined its popularity and demand.

This is from the official biography of Vladimir Zhdamirov (site - vladimirzhdamirov.ru), I'm not inventing anything ... I can add that this does not differ in any way from the version of Oleg Simonov. True, I can say, but I do not presume to assert that people close to the team claim that no one was in prison anywhere, more precisely, the new soloist of the group, Mikhail Borisov, was serving a sentence.
And if no one really noticed the first album of the collective, then the “First Album” of the Butyrka group blew up the music market with a number of legal and illegal copies. Although he split the lovers of the thieves' song into two camps. Some praised their songs and trampled on dance floors and slapped the music into the car, others denounced the group for the primitivism of the arrangements and uncomplicated texts, which the whole country sang along at concerts.
By the way, I want to say, despite all the stereotypes associated with chanson performers, neither Zhdamirov nor Simonov, to their credit, were noticed in any ugly stories associated with the "Russian disease" of contemporary artists.

Back in 2009, or even earlier, disagreements and frictions began in the group ... There is an old proverb: "A chervonets can be easily divided into two, but a thousand rubles is no longer there." As far as I can remember, at that time the group changed administrators and concert directors, someone did not cope with their task, someone openly warmed up the artists for decent money. I don’t presume to say, again, in full measure, what and how it happened, but the relations within the collective heated up to the point that the artists had a rest in different dressing rooms before and after concerts, in restaurants they dined at different tables. As they say knowledgeable people, added fuel to the fire and family members of the group, setting them up against each other .... Oleg Simonov, as a poet and co-founder of the group, believed that he should get more than a simple vocalist Vladimir Zhdamirov ... remember - a thousand is no longer divided into two.
Why did the group continue to work and release albums for five years after the beginning of the main conflicts, by the way, they are pretty good, and the tour schedule was planned for a long time ahead ... Well, firstly, the contract with Master Sound was holding back (this is partly), and secondly - the tour fed everyone and clearly did not want to change horses on the crossing…. But after 2010, everything became really bad - swearing more often and hotter, each according to his own concepts, each in his grievances and claims more and more, somehow it turned out that no one could (or maybe did not want) to sit at the table negotiations between Oleg Simonov and Vladimir Zhdamirov. If before that moment the group sometimes released two albums a year, then for the last three years it just rolled around the country and was engaged in banal money making. As far as I understand, everyone was waiting - what would the other side do ?!
And in the fall of 2013, Oleg Simonov brings in a new soloist Mikhail Borisov, the Butyrka group continues to work - there are now three faces on the posters ... everything seems to be fine, but smart people understand that the denouement is closer and closer. On December 28, a concert of the Butyrka group is taking place, on the poster are the same persons - Simonov, Zhdamirov and Borisov…. But already in January, the posters came out without Vladimir - he left the group, one stage of creativity ended for everyone and another began, the previous albums became legendary and golden, the new ones still have to win the listener.
Vladimir Zhdamirov was forbidden to sing old songs from his repertoire and was offered to develop new baggage, which is kind of fair, sort of like ... But the new album of the Butyrka group, I'll Be Back Home, came out with Zhdamirov's face ... although his vocals were no longer there - as it seems to me, not a completely ethical move, but commercially - very justified. And then there was a scandal ... (source - the official website of the Butyrka group, the author's spelling is preserved)

Of course, on the one hand - this story does not really paint Vladimir Zhdamirov, although we do not fully know all the subtleties and details ... But all the other participants in this story, frankly, do not look better - it was possible to agree beautifully and humanly about everything on the shore, and not arrange a public showdown.

For today, the first solo album of Vladimir Zhdamirov "Spring behind the fence" is being prepared for release. The album will include 10-11 brand new original compositions: Spring is behind the fence, God is everywhere, Academy, Heaven for the boys, The rain will pass, Cranes over the taiga, Sewing the case, 4 years old, Where is the will, Mom, forgive me !, My beloved and others (this is information from the official website of Vladimir Zhdamirov). By the way, Zhdamirov himself said that the album was ready and would be released in the fall of 2014, and he had already begun writing songs for his second solo disc.
As far as I can understand, the Butyrka group is also preparing the material for a new album, which may come out, if not at the end of 2014, then obviously in winter-summer 2015.
Today the composition of the Butyrka group is as follows:

Oleg Simonov - keyboards, lyricist
Mikhail Borisov - vocals
Alexander Goloshchapov - bass guitar
Andrey Zhuravlev - guitar
Yuri Akimov - drums
Yulia Griboyedova - art director
Valery Liznev - sound engineer

Someday, many years later, it will be unpleasant for all the participants in this story to remember it, if only because they brought it out to the public, when they could not agree on the normal inside…. Everyone is good in their own way and everyone is to blame for it in their own way, because it’s a shame when such talented people, who, in fact, have created a new direction in the chanson genre, even if such a frivolous and danceable one did not have the strength and patience to divide a thousand rubles into two ...
