Student's portfolio admission to 10. Student's portfolio as a tool for obtaining a promising job. Education and career

Parents these days take every opportunity to remind those around them that learning was different when they were young. Most likely, their parents also adhered to this opinion, which in principle is not surprising. In fact, their words were completely true. For past generations of schoolchildren, everything was different. There is no talk of any superiority, just the educational process was based on other methods and standards. And here just one question, how an example of a portfolio of a high school student should look like, would cause bewilderment.

In modern education, subjects are now presented that did not exist a couple of years ago. Their introduction led to the emergence of special tools so that you can master these disciplines and evaluate the results. Among such tools, which recently appeared in our schools, the student's portfolio should be highlighted.

Of course, most parents reacted extremely negatively to such an innovation. However, such a reaction is quite expected. They have no choice as such, so they are forced to help children in acquiring new knowledge and solving various problems that the school sets for their children. Despite the fact that this is not the first portfolio for high school students, they still have difficulties. And here an example of a high school student's portfolio would help them a lot.

How to make a high school student portfolio

At this stage, parents understand that their child has long gone beyond childhood. And one of the advantages of this should be called the fact that high school students can already make a portfolio without outside help. However, the participation of parents in this process is still desirable, because when there is no example of a portfolio of a high school student, various advice and objective criticism will be of great benefit on your part.

So what should a high school student's portfolio look like?

  • in the process of creating a portfolio of a high school student, it is recommended to follow the rules for designing a regular presentation. It is also allowed to make an electronic version that can complement the paper version;
  • The title page of a high school student's portfolio should be done in a discreet manner. It is important that it determines the design style of the entire portfolio. It should be borne in mind that a portfolio for high school students is a serious document, so teachers will not allow you to neglect the existing rules and arrange it as you please;
  • after the title page there should be a section with the student's CV. In writing this section, the student already has experience, so here it is enough to remember how this is done and reflect in it the basic information about yourself;
  • the next section should be devoted to inclinations and preferences, which should be described in great detail. High school students are already at an age when they understand what they are most interested in. Just this information should be included in the portfolio. This includes information about favorite disciplines, success in them, participation in specialized electives, etc.;
  • this section should describe everything related to social activities. It should be mentioned how actively the student participates in the life of the class, in campaigns, whether he takes care of veterans, whether he performs other useful activities that can form a certain opinion about him;
  • after you reflect the most important information in the portfolio of an 11th grade graduate, you can proceed to compiling a section on extracurricular hobbies. Most teenagers usually spend the most sheets on this section. The fact is that they describe here their hobbies, travels, as well as their talents and the successes they have achieved in certain areas. If there are no problems with this, try to include certificates, diplomas, competition posters, etc. in the portfolio. The presence of such artifacts in the portfolio will make it more valuable;
  • the final part of the high school student's portfolio should be a section that provides a summary and main plans for the future. In addition to goals and desires, you can indicate activities in which the student would like to participate, as well as areas where he would like to gain more knowledge and experience. For example, try to pass the task of the 15th exam in the Russian language in the near future.

The above points form the basis of the student's portfolio. In practice, the document of a student must be different and contain information about the personal qualities of the child. Moreover, the development of the latter is greatly influenced by his age, talents and creative abilities.

Portfolio Templates

Senior 9th, 10th, 11th grade student portfolio template - V. Kandinsky: 15 blank pages in jpg format

Certainly not for everyone. This document will be a good helper only for active, promising and enterprising students.

Many large companies are ready to hire young professionals, and well-designed achievements are an indispensable tool to get a promising job. For these purposes, a student's electronic portfolio in the form of a presentation is more suitable. It should first of all highlight exactly those points that, in your opinion, would be of interest to the employer.

The presence of a portfolio can affect the size of the scholarship, some universities pay an additional academic scholarship to the most successful students and select such students by analyzing their academic performance, achievements and social activity. In addition to the academic scholarship, there is also a presidential scholarship, which is also not received by everyone, here, too, a portfolio can come in handy.

Fans of participating in competitions and olympiads sometimes need a portfolio. This applies, first of all, to prestigious competitions such as Student of the Year. The purpose of this competition is to identify and support talented youth, the winners are awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.

Portfolio is the secret of a successful student!

Every student wants to succeed, get recognition and a good, decently paid job. Having created your own portfolio, few people will be interested in leaving its pages half empty. To make a presentation that can impress, you will have to be more attentive to your studies - write scientific papers, publish articles, participate in scientific conferences, olympiads.

If there are difficulties with science, you should not abandon the registration of your merits, you can pay attention to creative competitions or sports competitions. This will also help self-determination, in the process of participating in competitions it may turn out that the specialty is chosen incorrectly and your vocation, for example, is a designer, not a mechanic. It's not too late to change your profession, take additional courses.

By achieving success in the chosen field of education, continuing to replenish the student's portfolio with certificates, awards, diplomas, confirming professional competence, you can significantly increase the chances of arranging your future in the best possible way and getting a good job. And the experience of participating in contests and competitions will help you quickly move up the career ladder.
