Inside the black glass and steel space with wood inserts, called the Black Star Burger, which was located on the third floor of the Evropeyskiy shopping center, I was awaited Kindergarten, school, technical school and the first year of the institute taken together, which in chorus created an atmosphere of noisy bustle. Young people were everywhere. She ordered food from the long counter-kitchen, she took these orders, cooked, handed out on trays and ate at numerous tables, armed with branded black gloves and cell phones. From all sides, noise, laughter, screams and music of ringtones could be heard from all sides. Young men and women with and without trays ran alongside them every now and then. I was frantically looking for the entrance to the new part of the establishment called Prime.

Soon the gaze pulled out of the chaos of youth a transparent far wall, decorated with white inscriptions and drawings, through which the restaurant tables and chairs could be seen. Without thinking twice, I headed there, but at the entrance I was again met by a crowd of young people. "Is it really a queue?" - I thought. No, it was youth that was interested in how the adults were doing. I squeezed through the human cordon and ended up at the welcome counter. To my left I could see an idle wardrobe, to my right - the continuation of the open kitchen and a counter with meat delicacies. Two hostesses were standing right in front of us. The ladies looked businesslike: a walkie-talkie in their hands, an earpiece, a microphone, and a smile on their lips, and not artificial, but real, sincere.

On Tuesday night the landing was just under 50 percent, and people continued to arrive. I went in without armor. But the girls didn't drive me anywhere and didn't ask me to wait. They cheerfully led my unreserved person into the hall, showed several small tables in the center and a separate large table by the window, but with a time limit. Well, commendable.

Sitting on a solid beige sofa by the window and leaning against the tired-looking artificial greenery, I began to study the interior, imitating a club environment, but with shades of a network restaurant format, which can often be found in shopping centers in the capital. At first, the design seemed strange to me, but the longer I watched, the more closely I looked at the details, the more I realized that everything in the restaurant was cleverly made. The color combination is classic, black and white. Big panoramic window the entire outer wall admitted enough natural light. Counters with different kinds meat and bottles of whiskey looked appropriate. The tables were placed at such a distance from each other that no one interfered with anyone. The music was, though not for everybody, but played quietly and unobtrusively. On all tables there was a set of drinks to choose from, like in clubs, only without alcohol. You choose (for money) what you want, the rest is carried away. Despite the fact that the L-shaped space did not differ in increased comfort, there were no stimuli in it, except that it was annoyed by excessive stuffiness mixed with heat.

I was given several menus at once. The layout was heavy and inconvenient. The eyes were constantly jumping from one page to another, and the pages themselves had already acquired a battered, rumpled look. The kitchen theme followed the American bar theme. The main selection of dishes is burgers and steaks, plus chicken wings, at least Asia and a little bit of the Caucasus. Prices are different, the main menu is within reasonable limits, Japanese meat is expensive, but still cheaper than the competition.

The food began its performance sadly. Japanese Beef Tataki looked sloppy. The pieces were of different sizes, thick, unkempt; there was too much sweet sauce in the dish, and the beef was generously sprinkled with sesame seeds, which immediately killed any taste of meat, reducing its value to zero. Moreover, the pieces themselves were chewed with difficulty and suggested not at all about Japan, but about Bryansk.

"Caesar salad with chicken" was banal in every way. Romano lettuce is fresh but too large. Quail eggs are hard boiled. Cherry tomatoes, as they say, the cat cried. Hardly warm chicken - four petals. For some reason, the menu called the slices of soft salty Russian cheese architecture “Parmesan Grana Padano”.

But already "Buffalo Chicken Wings" turned out to be good: crispy and crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Buffalo sauce is tangible, spicy, slightly biting. Fresh vegetables, but not enough. The thick homemade Blue Cheese sauce was also given out as on coupons - just a little, just try it.

Burger Timati did not disappoint its creator. It turned out to be big, pot-bellied and juicy. The cutlet was supplied with herbs, spices, cheese and bacon. She looked beautiful and impressed with her dimensions. The roll is white, plump, soft. There is a dimensional balance between bread and meat. There are two sauces, and both played their parts in the burger performance perfectly. Tasty, satisfying and a lot, so the burger justified its price of 799 rubles.

Next came the steaks. Prime Beef's New York steak looked modest and pale, but inside it hid excellent tenderness, commendable marbling and proper roasting. The taste is rich, there is a lot of juice, and all because the meat was allowed to sit out before serving (as evidenced by the fact that the surface of the meat was not scalding hot, but warm).

Wagyu Medallions too appearance not impressed. Two thin gray meat strips rested on the board. But again, the taste was clear and to the point. The meat is juicy, creamy, without a single flaw and without the slightest hint of dryness. True, due to the subtlety of the slicing, it is impossible to determine the degree of roast, so, probably, there was no point in asking the guests about it. And yes, the wagyu beef in the restaurant is indeed Japanese - I checked. The label on the package was correct, all information on it passed the fairness test. The ten-digit number was present, all markings are present, the Hygo prefecture is indicated, the name of the manufacturer, which the Rosselkhoznadzor allowed to import meat into Russia, is in place: Kakogawa Meat Center, HG-1. Well done Blackstar - they did not deceive and honestly used the term "wagyu", which, by the way, translated from Japanese means "Japanese cow / cattle".

The third contender for the prize was Striploin from Japan. The taste is perfect, the roast is medium rare, the creaminess is high, each piece melted in the mouth and caused a splash of children's delight.

In contrast to the meat, two sauces, "Pepper and Mustard" and "Mushroom and Truffle" were disappointing. Pepper mustard had a sharp, sour, vinegar aftertaste, and "Mushroom" suffered from impregnations of artificial dry seasoning.

From the side dishes, we successfully sang their parts “Potatoes with mushrooms (shitake)” and “Broccoli in unagi sauce”. Although the taste of eel a.k.a. I did not feel “unagi” in broccoli, the dish itself was tasty and moderately crispy. The potatoes are ordinary, but the mushrooms turned out to be bright, salty, a little sweet and very appetizing.

Desserts are mostly imported, so I would advise you to skip them and take homemade waffles, from which I got the "Hong Kong Waffle with Cheese Berry Filling". The dessert turned out to be hearty, tasty, soft and interesting.

The service on my visit was of high quality, perky and very young. The hall was watched over by at least three managers, about ten waiters shuttled around the room. Two young men in caps were working on serving dishes at the table, one was making salads, the other was frying meat in a pan. And another young man was responsible only for dirty dishes and cutlery. Everything was done correctly with the black branded gloves. Gloves of the right size were delivered to each guest, which spoke first of all about the attentiveness of the staff. Dishes were cooked moderately quickly: one course was about 20 minutes, steaks - 6–8 minutes. The girl who served my desk got five points. She was familiar with the menu, with the recipe too, she knew almost everything about meat, tried to help, watched the table, changed dishes and plates, did not forget about napkins and water. By the way, there was no water in the account. Either they forgot about her, or she was a compliment.

The bottom line is:

I did not think that in the Evropeyskiy shopping center, having made my way through the crowd of young people, I would visit a high-quality, well-thought-out, albeit a little chaotic, restaurant where burgers and steaks are respected. But he visited - and was satisfied.
