Overview of projects of aerated concrete houses

Porous aerated concrete blocks are ideal for the construction of country houses and summer cottages. Their cost is low, and the process itself is not too complicated, so many can afford a cottage from gas blocks.

In order not to spend money on the development of an individual project, you can use ready-made offers. You just need to choose the house you like and get to work. But first, you should weigh the pros and cons of cottages, in the construction of which aerated concrete blocks are used.

Features of construction from aerated concrete

Numerous air pores inside the gas blocks turn them into an effective insulation. A wall folded into 1-2 blocks can keep the temperature in the interior without additional thermal insulation. At the same time, a house made of aerated concrete with the correct finish “breathes” perfectly, maintaining a comfortable microclimate inside.

The gas block, due to its structure, also prevents the penetration of noise from the outside. Quite loud sounds up to 60 dB no longer pass through the wall thickness of only 30 cm. And the light weight of the walls allows you to lay a shallow and economical foundation in the project of a two-story house from gas blocks.

The only thing that will need to be taken care of is protecting the concrete from moisture. For this, the facades of cottages are usually finished with light air-permeable plaster, which does not allow water to pass to the surface of the gas blocks. Otherwise, building a house is even easier than building brick buildings - large sizes of wall blocks speed up masonry work by 2-2.5 times.

Search for a project

Before you start building a house, you will have to do its design. Technical documentation is needed not only for approval in all instances. With its help, it is easier to control the consumption of materials, the correct implementation of the project, and also to think over hundreds of little things, on which the comfort of the residents will subsequently depend.

Even if you intend to build a house with your own hands, a carefully drawn up scheme will help to avoid mistakes and unnecessary expenses. The only question is who to entrust the design.

There are three options:

1. Ordering a project in a bureau or firm is most reliable. The design carried out by specialists guarantees an accurate calculation of the object and a hassle-free paperwork during its registration. In addition, building a house using gas blocks requires a balance between the strength and heat-saving characteristics of load-bearing walls.

2. Ready-made house designs - they are purchased from the same firms separately or ordered immediately with the construction of a standard facility. In terms of price / result ratio, this is the most profitable way.

3. The budget option also implies the use of ready-made sketches. They will be found on public resources, we will offer some plans as part of this article. Such projects of aerated concrete houses can be changed at your discretion, for example, add an attic or add a garage when designing.

Description of different layouts

1. One-storey house made of gas blocks for three rooms.

House project up to 150 sq. m due to its compact form can be placed even in a standard summer cottage. Three living rooms can comfortably accommodate 3-4 people. The dining area will be very light in any orientation of the house, since it is surrounded by 6 windows on three sides. The dining room and the kitchen adjoining the living room provide access to a spacious summer terrace.

The project of a one-storey cottage made of aerated concrete includes three entrances - the main one from the porch and two high single-wing windows on the back of the house (in the living room and in the small bedroom).

Immediately at the entrance, on both sides of the large hallway, there are household services:

  • combined bathroom;
  • boiler room;
  • kitchen.

This situation facilitates the wiring of engineering networks in a cottage from gas blocks.

Projects of country houses made of aerated concrete blocks on two floors are also popular. They allow you to build a spacious cottage on a small plot of land for a large family, for example, with two children of different sexes or different ages. There will be a place in it for guests.

Here is a convenient diagram of a building with a total area of 153 m2:

Ground floor (Ytong aerated concrete blocks and floors):

  • The complex hall is the key to the whole house. You can directly enter the guest room (9 m2), the large living room (30 m2) and the kitchen combined with the dining room (18 m2). There is also a staircase and a small bathroom with a shower.
  • In the utility room (according to the plan, it is allocated 7 m2), which can serve as a laundry or mini-boiler room, if the cottage is intended for year-round use, they get from the bathroom.
  • The living room and kitchen each have a pair of high casement windows to the floor overlooking the backyard.

Second floor project:

  • Three separate master bedrooms - one "parent" with an area of 19 m2 with open doors through a short staircase hall allows you to hear what is happening in the small nursery opposite. For a family with a newborn baby, this is a big plus.
  • The second bedroom of 18 m2 can be given to older children.
  • On the attic floor there is another combined bathroom of 10 squares. Here it was possible to place not only a shower cabin, but also a full bath.

3. Spacious cottage of 215 m2 made of gas blocks.

Interesting options for houses with a garage and an attic. Let's consider such a complex project in more detail.

First of all, attention is drawn to a spacious garage with an area of almost 19 squares. From here, there is an exit to the utility room of the first level, and from there you can immediately go into a small corridor leading to the stairs. According to the project, the house has two open terraces: the main entrance leads to the house itself, and the second is in the backyard.

First floor:

  • The number of rooms located at the very entrance to the house made of aerated concrete is rather big. The shut-off vestibule allows you to trap cold air from the street - through the next door you can go to the central hall.
  • From here, you already have access to a small bathroom, storage room by the garage, kitchen or guest bedroom.
  • A wide passageway connects the hall with a spacious living room of 30 m2. Its real decoration is panoramic glazing of a rounded corner overlooking the second terrace.
  • The living room and the kitchen-dining room are essentially one huge room of complex shape, separated only by a small partition. But in their meaning they are separated by the continuation of the passage from the central hall.

Second floor:

  • The staircase leads to the same spacious hall as on the first floor. And from here you can get into any room.
  • Four bedrooms of 11, 11.5, 13.5 and 17 square meters guarantee each family member their own living space. Such a house will be convenient even for large families where three generations live together.
  • The bathroom and the toilet on the second floor are separated, which is very convenient if the residents take procedures at about the same time.

4. Diagram of a gas block house with a garage.

If the family is not too large - only 3-4 people, or the size of the plots in the village does not allow building large one-story block houses, you can choose a relatively simple but spacious project.

First floor:

  • The entrance from the porch leads to a vestibule of 4.3 m2. This is also where the door from the adjacent garage comes out.
  • From the vestibule they enter a common hall connected to a bathroom, a kitchen-dining room and a free opening from the living room.
  • A second passage connects the living room and kitchen.
  • From the living room, wide glass doors lead to the terrace, and in the corner there is a staircase to the upper floor.

Attic:

  • There are only two bedrooms of 17.4 and 9.3 m2, as well as a bathroom.
  • At the attic level, just above the garage, there is 6 square meters of free space that can be taken into the attic.

Using the examples of the projects reviewed, we made sure that one-story and two-story houses, complex buildings with an attic and a garage from a gas block are no more difficult to fold than from any other material. It is possible to build radius walls from aerated concrete.

For self-construction, Ytong aerated concrete blocks of the correct shape or with a tongue-and-groove lock are perfect. With their low density of only 400 kg / m3, they have the necessary strength corresponding to the B2.5 class.

If the plans considered for some reason do not fit, and you firmly decided to build a house using aerated concrete, you can take any idea proposed for other materials as a basis. Everything that is built of brick, wood or solid concrete monolith is quite "within the power" of gas blocks.
