How to sheathe a summer house inside. Optimal finishes. The use of lining for finishing work indoors.

Hello dear readers and subscribers of the blog, Andrey Noak is in touch. Today I will tell you how to sheathe the walls in wooden house. And the idea in this regard came to me when I visited my parents, who, by the way, recently completed the repair - with which I congratulate them, the repair was a success.

Before choosing the material, you need to figure it out professionally enough for yourself, otherwise there may be problems. For example, one of my acquaintances, not knowing the house and its characteristics, did such a thing that ... but about this at the end of the article, first about the main thing, and then about the secondary. So, the house can be sheathed:

In a fraction of the time it takes to excavate and ground the foundations, we create a wooden building in the Krüner dugouts. Bases can be loaded instantly, technological breaks during concreting are excluded. No digging, concreting and removal of excavated earth. The screws are checked for tension and transverse loads.

Inner and outer beam.

  • Fast assembly of screws, without excavation and concreting.
  • Dredging excavation works are eliminated.
  • Possibility of their subsequent removal or moving to another location.
  • Lower price compared to concrete slab or concrete pillars.
  • They can only be used where the soil is well permeable min.
  • On the part of the client, a field survey is required - its permeability.
Since then, he has taken a leading position in the Austrian market. Today, one of the most modern European factories has 100 employees working on wooden structures, which are mainly manufactured to a low-energy or passive standard.

  1. Inside;
  2. Outside.

When decorating a house made of wood, there are a number of features that need to be considered:

  • It is necessary to process all finishing combustible materials with fire-retardant coatings;
  • The advantages of wooden walls are the ease of attachment to them compared to brick or panel houses. So the peculiarity is that you do not need to use additional dowels and anchors;
  • If the house is made of raw wood, then allowances for shrinkage of the house must be taken into account;
  • Often you need to level the walls.

Sheathing the house from the inside

Again, before proceeding with the decoration of the walls, we put everything on the shelves:

Josef Gruber was elected President of both the Austrian and the European Union of Ready Household Assemblers. Our Austrian partner statically evaluates the house and produces panels, including windows and doors. Then we will provide professional assembly and completion of the house.

You will receive a unique guarantee of quality and a fixed price for the building. Wooden houses are starting to grow in the Czech Republic like mushrooms after rain. It is not surprising that living in a house with the smell and atmosphere of the forest is very pleasant. And how long will a wooden structure last? The main structure is fixed for at least 100 years, the roof, facade, skylights and windows last about 40-60 years.

  • Rough finish, the wall is being prepared for finishing under wallpaper, painting with water-based emulsion or paint, as well as other types of fine finishes requiring wall preparation;
  • Fine. If fine finish walls will be made, then roughing is not required.

Draft, the main thing here is not a big price and reliability

However, the term timber structure can be found in many types of structures. Most often we mean houses with a load-bearing structure made of wood. However, it can be a combination of materials such as wood or wood concrete. Timber structures include light column structures, log cabins, and a heavy skeleton used for large buildings such as schools and administrative buildings. Relative novelty - massive wooden panels.

In her case, however, it is the luxury of nature that we are gentle with nature, and in the end we make economical heating. For example, a wall thickness of a wooden structure of 27 cm is equivalent in modern brick construction to about 60 cm or more. This difference can be one room of 12 m2 in the same built-up area for a typical house. With thinner design of partitions and perimeter walls, you can make better use of the interior of the building and easily change the layout. Extensive wooden buildings use a regeneration system, i.e. heat recovery where preheating air is preheated by hot exhaust air. Therefore, the warm air is not drawn out of the open window, but in the heat recovery heat exchanger it transfers most of its heat to the incoming air. Construction usually only takes a few weeks before the house is finished. We can build at any time of the year, even in winter. The wooden structure offers comfortable living and a large proportion of natural materials, which positive influence to the interior of the building. Prefabricated wooden buildings Some buildings are assembled from so-called sandwich panels. Sandwich refers to panels due to the fact that the insulation is placed between two layers of wood panels or plywood. Two-four systems Two-four or two-six systems are used throughout Europe, and most prefabricated timber building manufacturers have taken over. The structure is made of boards or prisms, and the system again resembles a sandwich: inside is insulation, the walls are covered with fibreboard or plywood, and inside is drywall. These houses use a wooden façade or wood combined with cement-fiber or cement-bonded particle boards. Log Cabins and Lumber These buildings are only allowed in some areas. This is the so-called dry prism and roundwood. The low variability and limited aesthetic possibilities do not give owners too much of a chance to make any changes. Paneled wooden buildings Solid wood panels are not used too often because they are expensive. Thermal insulation is added outside, mostly visually appealing wooden wall inside. Skeletal system solid beams, using carpentry connections, becomes a house in which you can see the beams. These include insulation and external shingles, which are not necessarily wood. Can be used various materials, Besides sheet metal.

  • It cannot be said that a wooden house will be cheaper than a classic brick house.
  • A wooden building insulates heat and saves space.
  • This means that the walls, ceilings and tiles are finished to the finished building.
  • The entire panel reinforces the solid wood frame.
  • These houses are not much different from brickwork in their form or appearance.
Wooden buildings often differ in architecture, but they do not interfere with the environment.

  1. Mesh Chain-link and plaster;
  2. Chipboard is thin-layer, the thickness of such sheets is 10-12 mm;
  3. MDF panels;
  4. Drywall, an inexpensive but slightly brittle material in the wrong hands, the first time I redecorated my apartment, ruined one sheet in ten. And after the repair, in a walker, I quickly beat off all the corners of this material. But at the same time, specialists work with him very professionally and very quickly;

Wood is also a renewable material, so wooden buildings can be recycled. People also have more confidence in quality and quality assurance than in other designs. Certification is legally binding for products such as perimeter panels, ceiling partitions, and others.

The Finished Lumber Suppliers Association, which has 16 members, has committed to voluntarily comply with the national quality certificate certification. For the customer, this means, among other things, an extension of the warranty min. 5-year warranty, quality control of parts and assembly, occasional leak tests at home, more frequent checks in production.

Wall decoration with plaster is going out of fashion today, because over time, plaster can begin to crumble, it is difficult to screw screws or drive nails into it, for example, to attach a headset or to hang a picture on the wall. But still, this is not an expensive option that has every right to live in a wooden house.

For rough finishing and leveling the walls with wood boards or drywall, we need:

Problems related to firewood and other myths

Wooden buildings are accompanied by various myths and unnecessary problems. Let's look at the most common ones. If the timber structure is poorly built, the sound really resonates - as in any poorly built building. Otherwise, it may fit better parameters than a masonry structure that is poorly layered. In the beginning, of course, care must be taken to reduce the noise not only technically, but also to get rid of it. Noise insulation is less in the case of prefabricated wooden structures due to the lower weight of the structures, but can be increased by simple modifications, proper wall composition and details.

The process of work is that you need to evenly substitute the plates against the wall and screw them onto the screws with a screwdriver, after the whole plates no longer fit the wall, you need to measure the desired dimensions with a tape measure and cut them out with a bee. In the process of finishing the walls, make sure that the joints of the slabs are tight, the slabs are fastened at the same level, leveling the location with a sliver.

A well-trained company will take care of that. On the contrary, wooden buildings are safer in fire than brick structures. Even for a few minutes, the stability of a structure can be very well appreciated. Due to long-standing fears and distrust of lay and fire specialists, wooden buildings are subject to strict standards control. They are judged much more severely, although they are non-flammable designs.

Some specialized companies do not use wood for the construction of wooden structures, but, for example, with a prefabricated wooden structure system, the building is additionally reinforced with wall panels. Modern technologies woodworking largely eliminates the effects of conditions such as changes in humidity or temperature on the structure. It can be said that after the settlement of the conditions of the population, woodworking is no longer registered.

Finishing, Lately preference is given to natural materials

  1. Block house;
  2. Lining;
  3. Planken;
  4. timber imitation;
  5. plinth;
  6. Baguette;
  7. PVC panels, I would not classify this material as natural.

For fastening you will need:

  • Screwdriver or hammer;
  • Nails or screws 50-70 mm;
  • Chips or pieces of boards for leveling;
  • Bars 50 * 50 to create a frame;
  • Assistant.

Fixing natural moldings

Natural insulation for walls, ceilings and roofs

Our state of private wooden construction until it supports us. Although this support works in Austria, for example, we are still waiting for it in the Czech Republic. There are several types of natural insulating materials that are suitable for wooden buildings.

Fibrous insulation is produced in the form of boards and has excellent thermal insulation properties. Binders use organic substances free from formaldehyde, phenols, acrylates and artificial dyes and bleaches. Mineral insulation has excellent thermal, acoustic and fire retardant properties and vapor permeability. It is made from cannabis fibers mixed with binder fibers and a soda solution as fire and mildew protection. The straw usually acts as thermal insulation material used as a filler between wooden load-bearing structures. The possible treatment of wood is the result of a poorly executed structure, where condensation and humidity rise above 30%. Wooden products are sometimes visible in the interior when cracks appear on the material. There are people who do not mind, and, on the contrary, the natural nature of the forest, which they are looking for. Others are more sensitive in this regard - then the question arises whether wood can be used indoors.

  • Mineral insulation comes from natural or recycled materials.
  • Cannabis acts as an ecological natural thermal insulation.
Wood is one of the oldest building materials and one of the most modern.

The fastening process begins with the creation of a frame on the wall, for this we fasten a block of 50 * 50 mm in size to the wall with screws. We make two three bars parallel to each other along the height of the wall, one at a distance of 20-30 cm from the floor, the second in the middle, the third 30-40 cm from the ceiling. We create a framework.

It should be noted that the humidity in the room should be approximately equal to the humidity of the wood finishing material.

Wood fans have a choice of the two most used building systems: wood or sandwich panels. In the era of modern building materials and technologies, the motivation to build public buildings slightly different from the motifs of past centuries. The reasons are environmental, aesthetic, but also health. Wood is a renewable, easily recyclable and historically proven natural material.

Inside the house there is a healthy and pleasant climate with a constant natural humidity of 40 to 50 percent. WITH practical point of view, it must be emphasized that the construction of a building can be more easily reconstructed, dismantled or recycled than a concrete or concrete house.

If the humidity in the room is high, then the products will swell and press on each other, if the humidity is lower, then a gap will appear between the finishing material.

The above can be used to predict the behavior of the finishing material and, if necessary, you can make it not tight so that when it swells, it does not press against each other.

Interest in new buildings of various types is increasing every year. Evidence also presents a range of interesting and high quality solutions from companies that make our market in this segment. Environmental considerations for selection building structures have a positive economic and practical impact on the builder. The big advantage is dry installation, construction speed and energy saving. More time will be made for the preparation and implementation of concrete plinths, the building will grow on it within days or several months.

After attaching to the wall, it is simply desirable to cover the wood material with a fire retardant coating, and then with varnish, drying oil or stain to reduce the likelihood of changes in the moisture content of the wood.

Sheathe walls with high humidity

When finishing internal walls in a room with high humidity, and this, for example, can be a bathroom, you need to use only moisture-resistant materials. For walls not in direct contact with water, you can use Quick Deck boards, moisture-resistant drywall. For a wall in contact with water, it is better to use plastic or tile.

Since our house is wooden, then of course you need to pay attention here that the wall decoration should be done so that after three to five years the walls do not have to be changed due to rot formed from poor tightness of the finishing material.

Especially rot can occur under the bathtub, sink or behind the toilet. In such a room, mice can even start up, which will then be difficult to get rid of!

Wall decoration outside

The following materials can be used here:

  1. Block house;
  2. Lining;
  3. Planken;
  4. timber imitation;
  5. Brick is added;
  6. Siding;
  7. fiber cement panels;
  8. Fur coat (marble chips, slag, cement);
  9. Tile;
  10. Flat tiles;
  11. Decking.

Unlike interior decoration walls, when finishing the house outside under the finishing material, as a rule, insulation is placed ( mineral wool). For this, a frame is also made, but the thickness of the bar will already be 70-80 mm, then the insulation is laid.

The insulation must be attached to the wall, and it should not crumble over time. When fastening, you can use a construction stapler.

After fixing the insulation, we take up the sheathing of the house. Here again a screwdriver, self-tapping screws or screws will come to our aid. To make everything nice and smooth, I recommend calling an assistant.

I would like to draw attention to the sunny side or on the side of the house where water will get on the wooden sheathing - the color of the molding may change.

Therefore, of course, these sides finished with wooden material must be covered with a high-quality coating resistant to fungi and fading.

Brick and tile finish

Walls are not sheathed with these materials, but trimmed. But I will also tell you a little about them, since my friend is involved here.

So my friend's name is Alex. Lech hello to you and your little ones! I cite you as an example so that others do not like it!

When finishing a wooden house with bricks or tiles, it must be taken into account that the finishing material has a large mass and therefore the foundation must be reinforced. Alexei had an old house and he decided to put on the foundation facing brick, of course, he didn’t make any calculations, but he didn’t study the foundation - as a result, one corner of the house failed, since the builders did not count on the foundation of the house under such loads. Lesha had to raise the corner and pour the foundation, in general, a lot of nerves were spent.

Also, when finishing with bricks and tiles, you need to take into account that the tree under the brick can pick up moisture, this is described in detail in the video below. Good luck and see you again, Andrey Noak was with you!

Natural wood is very popular building material that will never go out of fashion. Wooden houses are also being actively built today, as they were 100 years ago. We will talk about the rules for choosing finishes for their walls in this article.

The best wall cladding materials - which ones to choose?

In order to qualitatively sheathe the walls in a modern wooden house, it is necessary to choose facing materials taking into account many factors. It is necessary to take into account the region where the residential facility is located, the climatic conditions in the area, as well as the expected rules for the operation of the structure. In a small country house, used only in the summer, you can simply paint or varnish the walls, saving your money.

For residential buildings in which the owners live all year round, we recommend choosing more expensive, attractive and reliable facing materials. The ease of use of the structure, its functionality and aesthetics depend on the quality of interior design. By investing in more effort and money, you can achieve better design results. Among the most suitable finishing materials, it is customary to distinguish facings from natural wood. Their use allows you to preserve the visual appeal of the tree and organize a microclimate favorable for people's lives in the rooms.

  • wooden lining;
  • block house;
  • various panels;
  • drywall.

These cladding options are the most in demand, as they allow you to create perfectly even walls in the rooms, are easy to install and do not require prior alignment of the surfaces to be tiled before installation. To choose the optimal finish, it is necessary to take into account not only the features of the house, but also the individual characteristics of the interior rooms, for example, in the kitchen and bathroom, the walls must be decorated with materials that are resistant to high humidity, and for the living room and bedroom, the most important thing is the visual appeal of the finish.

Walls and facing materials may also experience a weight load due to the installed decorative elements, furniture, lamps and other things. The load must also be taken into account when choosing a finish, so that the facing layer does not collapse during operation and retains its technical and visual characteristics for a long time.

Wooden lining - the most important advantages of natural finishes

The lining is an ordinary wooden board with special fastening grooves that allow you to fit the individual elements of the wall cladding as tightly as possible during installation. This finishing material retains all the features, advantages and disadvantages of natural wood:

  • wide palette of colors and textures;
  • good thermal insulation;
  • high-quality sound absorption;
  • long service life with proper installation and quality care;
  • fear of high humidity;
  • susceptibility to biological contamination (fungus, mold);
  • fire hazard.

Given these features of the lining, when choosing it, give preference to models that have good protection from moisture, covered with special agents that prevent infection of wood with mold and reduce its combustibility. The surface of the lining can be either smooth, well-finished, or unfinished. In the second case, after installing the cladding, you will have to independently protect the boards from negative influences and varnish them.
